Royal Sovereign ARP-1400WW Portable Air Conditioner
The ARP-1400WW is one of the largest portable air conditioners we carry, not only in size but also in cooling power. At approximately 14,000 BTU's,
this Royal Sovereign portable air conditioner has the ability to cool nearly any size room in your home or apartment while removing massive amounts of
moisture. As a dual hose portable air conditioner, it does this simply and efficiently through easy to use digital controls and added features to
make this unit as efficient as possible. Upon testing, these are some things we found with this unit.
What I liked about the Royal Sovereign ARP-1400WW
Just like the other Royal Sovereign portable air conditioner we offer, one of the first things we noticed was the size. Like other large, dual
hose models, this air conditioner is large. With it's size though there are two key positives. First, the cooling capacity is higher than
nearly any other portable air conditioner we carry. Increased coolant and a larger compressor means larger areas cooled for you. Secondly, this
size also lends itself to being a more efficient dual hose portable air conditioner. Dual hose models tend to be larger than single hose units,
but they are also more efficient. With a coverage area up to 450 sq. ft., the ARP-1400WW is no exception.
The Royal Sovereign ARP-1400WW abounds with digital features. Not only does it have a remote, digital display and 3 fan speed settings, but
it also can display temperatures in C or F, has a Sleep Mode, Auto Restart (in the event you have a blackout or power surge), and also
has oscillating louvers that can be set to automatically oscillate or be moved by hand to direct cool air where you need it most.
As with the smaller model, set up is relatively easy. Though it is a bit more complicated with this dual hose model, once you have the unit set up,
moving from room to room isn't too difficult.
What I did not like about the Royal Sovereign ARP-1400WW
Draining, as with pretty much all portable air conditioners can be a pain, but luckily most of the moisture extracted is
expelled with the warm exhaust through the outtake hose.
The size can be a bit cumbersome for certain people. Though it does have casters, this is a very heavy unit to be moving from room to
room.
Overall, this model is a high performer for cooling large spaces. Though it is heavier than most it does reward you with a greater
cooling ability, and more digital/value added features. The compressor warranty is longer than many comparable models, and for as large
as it is, the Royal Sovereign ARP-1400WW is highly efficient. In all, an excellent buy for cooling larger spaces.
