Sturdy and built to last, with industrial strength capabilities, it's no surprise that AllerAir
5000 air purifiers represent the most popular AllerAir series. Diverse options allow for control of allergens, odors, gases, tobacco
smoke, bacteria, and micro-organisms. All designs feature a cylindrical shape for maximum air flow, casters for easy moving, and a
quiet fan. The AllerAir 5000 series is the most popular model AllerAir offers. Rated for up to 1500 sq. ft., the 5000 series offers HEPA
and activated carbon filtration with an optional UV light. Ideal for someone with multiple chemical sensitivities or persistent
allergies, the 5000 series offers some of the best filtration in the business.
1) The pre-filter traps large dust particles, and can be easily cleaned by vacuuming. It lengthens and preserves the lives of the other filters.
2) The MAC-B (mass activated carbon bed) filter locks in gases and odors. It will continue working for many months before needing to be replaced.
3) The two anti-microbial filters kill the airborne microbes like bacteria, mold, and viruses.
4) The HEPA filter traps the airborne particles.
AllerAir 5000 UV models feature a Sterilizing UV Lamp, which destroys airborne micro-organisms. As disease-carrying microbes pass over the lamp, it
emits ultraviolet waves that alter their DNA. Ideal for sterile environments such as laboratories, child care facilities, medical facilities,
and kitchens.
Highly Customizable with a wide variety of color options.
Activated Carbon is the only safe, cost-effective way to trap noxious gases and odors. Activated carbon has been treated with oxygen to open up millions
of tiny pores between the carbon atoms. The tiny pores provide an enormous surface area to trap certain chemicals, which are attracted to the activated
carbon. Most off-the-shelf air purifiers have only a few token ounces of carbon sprayed on mesh. AllerAir air purifiers are packed with pounds of activated
carbon for maximum chemical and odor removal.
A quiet fan for silent operation.
Energy efficient.
All-metal air purifier housing is super durable and does not off-gas.
Cylindrical shape provides maximum air flow.
Casters provide easy, scuff-free moving.
Effective in home, office, or industrial areas up to 750 square feet.
Ideal for those sensitive to VOCs and other chemical fumes.

Probably more than I needed.
Reviewed by: J.T. from Crystal River, FL
I don't want to say the only reason I bought the Allerair was because I'm a slight hypochondriac, but I am fairly concerned about my health. I don't really have any issues and part of me wants to keep it that way. I had always heard that carbon was the best at filtering, and this had the most. The air is definitely fresher in the house. That faint musty smell is completely gonesince the house is REALLY old and there is noticeably less dust. I'm happy with it so far! I do wish it weren't so heavy though.

This machine is not very pretty, but it has worked great for me. I do some painting in my shop and that leads to a lot of odors. This Aller Air has lots of carbon that traps the odors. It is heavy but moves well on its wheels on my concrete floors.

My wife makes me smoke my cigars only in my woodworking shop. I usually like to keep the doors closed, because of the noise. I needed a rugged, high performance man's air purifier.
Customer Q & A
Q1: Hi,
I have an Aller Air purfier and I need to replace the filter and I'm not sure which one to get. Can you please help with this?
A: As a general rule of thumb, AllerAir models have 3 layers of filtration in their units, a thick bed of activated carbon, a HEPA wrap/drum, and a prefilter with the prefilter needing to be replaced the most frequently of the three. The filter style can vary some among specific models.
Contact customer service and they should be able to walk you through which filters need to be changed. CS@ACHOOALLERGY.COM or call toll free, 1-800-339-7123.

AllerAir 5000 Air Purifiers
The AllerAir 5000 series is the most popular model AllerAir
offers. Rated for up to 1500 sq. ft., the 5000 series offers HEPA
and activated carbon filtration with an optional UV light. Ideal for
someone with multiple chemical sensitivities or persistent
allergies, the 5000 series offers some of the best filtration in the
business.
What I like about the AllerAir 5000
The 5000 series can cover 1500 sq. ft., but at the recommended six
air changes per hour, they are more suited for a total area of 500
sq. ft. They would work well in a smaller commercial office or the
largest room in just about any home. These units are durable. With a steel housing and enamel finish, the
AllerAir 5000 does not off-gas, nor does it emit any ozone.
With a full 18 lbs. of carbon these air purifiers offer robust
filtration of allergens, and other particulates. As with all
AllerAir models, the 5000 series offers specific blends of activated
carbon. These specific blends can be customized for customers with
sensitivities to specific types of carbon.
Each unit offers 4 stage filtration, including true HEPA filtration
as well as a pre-filter (which can be vacuumed), carbon filter and
anti-microbial filter. Combined, these filters work well in reducing
most VOCs, bacteria, dust, smoke, pollen and other allergens
commonly found in the home.
What I did not like about the AllerAir 5000
Like other AllerAir models, the 5000 units are heavy. Once unpacked,
each weighs around 45lbs. Casters help in moving them around, but
getting them up and down steps is not a task for elderly or
infirmed. AllerAir units are not particularly quiet machines.
Running on low,
they offer something akin to white noise while trying to sleep.
AllerAir falls more in line with manufacturers that offer little in
the way of electronics or accessories. Instead they choose to focus
on performance and delivering maximum filtration for your money. So
with the 5000 series, the units do not come with a filter life
monitor, but you can expect to replace the HEPA filter every 3-5
years, the carbon every 1-3 years and pre-filter each year (you can
vacuum this to extend its life).
In summary, the AllerAir 5000 series of air purifiers deliver
excellent results. With a very functional design, these units are
workhorses when it comes to air filtration. Durable and long
lasting, the 5000 series will keep the air in your house free of
allergens at a price comparable to the best in the business.
