Powerful 4-stage HEPA Filtration System:
1) The pre-filter traps large dust particles, and can be easily cleaned by vacuuming. It lengthens and preserves the lives of the other filters.
2) The MAC-B (mass activated carbon bed) filter locks in gases and odors. It will continue working for many months before needing to be replaced.
3) The two anti-microbial filters kill the airborne microbes like bacteria, mold, and viruses.
4) The HEPA filter traps the airborne particles.

I wanted a powerful air purifier for my warehouse area. During the cold winter months with the building shut up, the air quality inside is very poor. We work with chemicals sometimes, but this Aller air makes a big difference.

Worth The Expense

About six months ago I finally got fed up with my constant sneezing and runny nose. As part of my treatment my allergist suggested purchasing an air purifier for my bedroom. Since it was going to be in my bedroom, I didn't care what it looked like. All I wanted was something that was going to work well and last. For what I spent I feel like I got what I needed, and I was feeling better soon after I started using it. It's heavy, not as "stylish" as some of the others I looked at, but it works really well and seems... stout. I'll take substance over style any day.

AllerAir 6000 Series
The AllerAir 6000 series of air purifiers is a natural extension of
AllerAir's products, boasting even more activated carbon. This
begins with 22lbs and offers up to 36lbs of activated carbon, a
hallmark of all AllerAir purifiers. With the same sturdy
construction and similar options, the AllerAir 6000 offers more of
what it is known for, an excellent balance of value and
practicality.
Things I liked about the AllerAir 6000:
Durability
As with all of the AllerAir purifiers, the 6000 series is built to
last. With a tubular steel frame design these models stand just
under two feet tall and offer maximum filtration for larger areas.
Four Stage Filtration
Like the 4000 series, the AllerAir 6000 offers four stage filtration
in all of its units. One distinct difference, though, is that this
line offers two anti-microbial filters. This, coupled with more
activated carbon, beefs up the performance with a minimum increase
to the overall cost.
Activated Carbon
Starting with 22lbs. and containing up to 36lbs. of activated
carbon, the AllerAir 6000 offers filtration that rivals the best in
the industry. In addition, AllerAir recognizes that even specific
types of carbon can affect some people with extreme chemical
sensitivities. To remedy this, they can customize a carbon blend
that more specifically suits your needs.
Options
From different types of actual carbon and varying depths to
photocatalytic UV filtration technology and a VOC option, the 6000
series showcases the best that AllerAir has to offer. While not the
most stylish series, AllerAir does offer three colors.
Things I did not like about the AllerAir 6000:
Weight
While the activated carbon is one of the major upsides to this
model, the weight that comes along with it is not. These units can
weigh nearly 60lbs. once unpacked and set up. You will make good use
of the casters with this model. Additionally, when changing the
filters, this weight comes into play. The filters get slightly more
difficult to change as they increase in weight.
Cost
For some, this purifier may be somewhat cost prohibitive. While
AllerAir does offer superior filtration, if you do not need this
level of performance, you may want to consider another model.
Overall the 6000 series is the upgraded, heavier duty line of
AllerAir products. These products lean toward areas with higher
levels of air contamination and/or industrial settings. Whether in a
workplace or in your den, AllerAir offers some of the best and most
thorough filtration on the market.
