Dear Fellow Allergy Sufferers,

As I sat down to pen this section of our August newsletter, I was bothered by an itch in my right eye that quickly escalated into a major annoyance. Allergies got me again! This time I stopped on my morning walk to pet a rather large golden Labrador puppy. Somewhere along the way home, I rubbed my eye with the same hand that I had just been using to pet the irresistible puppy. Now I am typing with one swollen, almost closed, eye! I washed my hands, albeit too late, and took an antihistamine. If you are an allergy sufferer, please always remember to wash your hands after petting dogs or cats.
