Austin Air Pet Machine:
This air purifier is designed specifically for pet owners. The
Austin Air Pet Machine traps all the allergens associated with your
pets--dander, dust, dirt, pollen, mold, and other allergens that
could be trapped by their coat or tracked in from outside. Of
course, nothing can beat regularly bathing your pet, but the
Austin’s special carbon blend filter also reduces those unpleasant
pet odors that can linger in the air between baths.
What I like:
The Austin Air Pet Machine is a high performance air purifier with
great features. The carbon blend HEPA filter is supported by a
built-in pre-filter. The pre-filter extends the life of the HEPA
filter. The HEPA filter has a 3 to 5 year life expectancy. The
pre-filter also can be vacuumed from the outside. This helps to keep
down costs on an air purifier that you are likely to run for long
stretches of time.
The unit is sturdy and powerful. The Pet Machine is capable of
producing 6 air changes per hour in a 12” by 12” room. It is
constructed of 22 gauge steel which helps reduce off gassing.
What I do not like:
There are a few characteristics of the Austin Air Pet Machine that
are different from other air purifiers we offer. The Pet Machine
does not have any bells and whistles like an LCD display, a
programmable timer, a remote control, or a filter change indicator.
The unit also is heavy—weighing in at 45 pounds. There are wheels or
casters that allow you to move the machine around, but it is not a
portable air purifier. The Austin is sturdy and built to filter air.
If you are looking for sleek styling, try one of our other models.
In summary, the unit is an excellent product for people suffering
from pet allergies. You will have to keep the pet off furniture, but
the Austin Air Pet Machine is effective at eliminating pet odors and
trapping pet dander. The consumer also will appreciate the five-year
warranty offered by Austin Air on parts and labor.

This is our 2nd Austin Air purifier and we can't say enough about the noticeable difference it makes in our house. With 5 dogs dragging in dirt and kicking up dust, we could barely keep the place clean. With the PET machine in place, it has reduced the amount of dusting required by 1/3. I can only imagine the amount of allergens it is removing from the air in addition. For less than $500, this standalone product is far superior to the whole house purifier we had installed which cost more than 3 times more! If you want to remove allergens, dust, pollen, etc. from your home and don't want to break the bank, look no further than the Austin Air brand of purifiers.

I bought this to help with the cat box smell. I have 5 cats, and I clean the box daily, but the room still smelled. After using the PET Machine for a couple of hours there was a noticable difference. Now, when I walk into the room, it no longer smells. If it can get out the cat urine smell, it can take any oder away! It is a bit bulky, but worth the space!!!

My wife and I had a cat before we had our daughter last year. Unfortunately, our daughter has an allergy to the cat dander. We put the pet machine in her bedroom and keep the cat out of there. It has really helped her breathing.
