According to the United Kingdom's Guardian Unlimited, scientists say a wide range of cures for food allergies will be available in less than a decade.

"Therapies for food allergy will be on the market within seven to 10 years," claims Ronald van Ree, head of the research at University of Amsterdam.

The therapies are based on modifying allergenic proteins so that immunotherapy can desensitize patients without causing allergic reactions.
