What I liked about the Dyson DC17 Animal:

This vacuum is perfect if you have pets. The vacuum has a low profile that helps you get underneath furniture and in hard to reach places. It also has a pet attachment that works well. Another great feature of this vacuum is that it has attachments that instantly extend so that you can clean hard to reach places, curtains, furniture, and upholstery.

One problem I always have with my own vacuum is that I do not know when to change the dust bag. With this vacuum, you do not have that problem. There are no dust bags to deal with on a Dyson. Secondly, you have a clear dust bin that makes it possible for you to see the amount of dust accumulated. The clear bin is easily emptied by pressing a single button.

What I did not like about the Dyson DC17 Animal:

One thing that you could complain about this vacuum when you first receive it is the weight of it. The vacuum is pretty heavy, but when you are using the DC17 Animal it seems to propel itself. This makes it feel lighter. One other thing to know about this vacuum is that it is very powerful. You have to make sure that you turn the brush roll off if you are doing hardwood or smooth floors. It might damage the finish.
