The new Dyson DC28 Animal is perfect for an allergy sufferer or pet owner that needs to have maximum cleaning power in their home.
This vacuum is recommended for a large home or apartment with wall-to-wall carpeting. With the brush bar turned off, the DC28 also works
well on hardwood floors and smooth surfaces. The Airmuscle technology increase the suction power without increasing the weight of the head

The new Dyson DC28 Animal with Airmuscle technology uses three Dyson-engineered
components a pneumatic actuator, a powered cam, and a high-torque clutch that combine for the most thorough cleaning power

I just purchased this vacuum to replace my older Dyson. This thing is powerful! My two dogs shed alot and so far I have had no trouble cleaning my carpets and furniture.

What I like about the DC28 Animal
There are two great qualities about this new Dyson vacuum. The first is the fingertip controls. You can automatically adjust or turn
off the brush bar for different floor types without having to bend down or turn off the vacuum.
Secondly, the sheer suction power of this vacuum is very impressive. I have used many Dyson machines over the past 3 years and
I have always been
pleased with the suction power. When I pulled this one out
of the box and turned it on, it seemed to have twice the
amount of suction power than previous Dyson vacuum cleaners
I have used. It easily cleaned matted down pet hair right
out of the carpeted area where my dogs sleep. The added
bonus of the 35 foot cord is fantastic! I am very
impressed.
What I do not like about the DC28 Animal
I have issues with upright vacuum cleaners as a whole - they
just seem heavy and bulky to me. I wanted to try the DC28
Animal to see how it would work getting up pet hair. It
worked very well, but this vacuum weighs in at a robust 20
pounds.
The pull-out hose for use with the
attachments on Dyson models has always seemed awkward to me and a little stiff. When using the hose to clean my stairs, the vacuum,
like most uprights, tends to topple over adding to the frustration.
The DC28 Animal Airmuscle is a much needed improvement over the
previous Animal models. This vacuum cleaner is extremely powerful and is the best that we have tested on pet air. You might not
believe the dirt that this vacuum pulls out of your carpet. This upright, coupled with a 5 year
warranty and the added convenience of no bags or HEPA
filters to replace, is ideal for asthma and allergy
sufferers with or without pets.
