Directions for Use

Apply MoldZyme^® to surface affected by mold or mildew and scrub away stains using sponge, cloth, or brush. For severe stains, apply and let stand before scrubbing or reapply more than once. It's not a bleaching agent, so don't expect stains to disappear immediately. Although MoldZyme^® is non-toxic, it's still a good idea to wear mask because of exposure to mold and mildew. Use caution when cleaning water-based painted walls, which could be removed or lightened. Test an inconspicuous area if unsure.

To use on deck or patio - apply to surface, brush well, and rinse dirt and stains away with a hose or pressure washer.

To use as a deodorizer - thoroughly spray the affected area.

For using on grout - tile grout, except epoxy grout, is porous; mold and mildew will penetrate it, making it impossible to clean. Cleaners that contain acid or bleach often cause the grout to deteriorate and can bleach any pigments. In addition, acid or bleach-based cleaners can ruin tile and polished stone. If mold and mildew have penetrated grout, it is best to remove the grout, clean the area thoroughly with MoldZyme^®, and then replace the grout. Then use MoldZYme^® regularly to keep grout durable and free from mold and mildew.

MoldZyme^® will remove mold stains from caulk. However, the black stains you often see on caulking are often actually damage to the caulk caused by chlorine-based products. When this is the case, remove caulk, replace it with new mold-proof caulk, and only use MoldZyme^® to clean your tub, shower, and tile.
