Electrolux Duralux Vacuum Cleaners
The Electrolux Duralux offers commercial cleaning strength in one compact, convenient package. With a slim profile,
HEPA filtration and a durable ABS body, the Duralux sets itself apart from the Electrolux family of vacuum cleaners.
What I like about the Electrolux Duralux Vacuum Cleaner
With two motors, the Duralux gives this upright the ability to clean smooth flooring with just the flip of a switch. By disengaging
the brushroll motor you have the ability to clean tile, hardwoods, and laminate with straight suction.
The HEPA filtration in this model features a washable HEPA filter. This will save you on the annual cost of replacing the filter.
Additionally, the Duralux has a sealed system and drop-in dust bags to make filtration not only efficient, but also easy to maintain.
Unlike many uprights, the Duralux has a very slim profile. It has the ability to lie flat to the floor with only a five in profile. This
makes the Duralux ideal for cleaning under tables, beds and other home furnishings.
What I did not like about the Electrolux Duralux Vacuum Cleaner
Though the HEPA filter is washable, in general washable HEPA filters are more likely to degrade over time. So even though you will
save on replacing the filter less often, do not expect it to last as long as you have the vacuum cleaner.
Overall, the Electrolux Duralux is an excellent upright with solid performance in many areas. The suction is more than adequate for
nearly all home cleaning applications. The extra wide air flow path makes obstructions less likely, and the flexible hose with onboard
mini attachments are suitable for dusting and cleaning smaller crevices and cracks around the house. The washable HEPA filter is,
no pun intended, a wash, but the slim profile lends itself to a wider range of cleaning situations than most traditional uprights. As
a midrange upright, the Duralux is a in line to comparable models, with regard to suction, capacity, features and value. |
