| The Electrolux ErgoSpace Green is one of the most eco-friendly HEPA vacuum cleaners available
today. A full 55% of the vacuum cleaner's body is made of recycled materials, while 90% of this vacuum can be recycled when the unit
is no longer usable.
Aside from the green benefits of the canister vacuum, the EL4101A (formerly the UltraSilencer) is lightweight, but features powerful
suction and true HEPA filtration. With two included floor tools, the ErgoSpace Green provides a great all round solution to cleaning
any type of flooring.
Adding to the energy savings of using recycled plastic, the ErgoSpace is fitted with a new 1,250 Watt motor that uses 33% less energy than other vacuums, while still
delivering the same suction power, thanks to a newly designed floor nozzle. Quiet yet durable, the Electrolux ErgoSpace filters the air while
trapping dirt, dust, dander, pollen and other allergens in a sealable 1.8 qt. dustbag.

Q1: How effective is the Electrolux Ultra Silencer removing thick pet hair from Oriental rugs? Would another model be a better choice?
A: The Ultra Silencer uses an air driven brushroll, so I wouldn't recommend it for medium to thick carpets or rugs, or as the best solution for pet hair. I would opt for either a DC33 All Floors if you prefer uprights or a Miele Delphi if you prefer canisters. Both would provide excellent suction and would deep clean without harming carpet or rugs. The DC33 is less expensive but with the Delphi you can easily adjust the suction and the electrically driven powerhead is ideal for pet hair.

The Electrolux ErgoSpace Green is one of the most eco-friendly vacuums cleaners available today. Because 55% of the
vacuum cleaner's body is made of recycled materials, this vacuum is only available in black. The plastic recycling process saves 90% of energy
compared to producing these pieces from virgin plastic.
What I liked about the Electrolux ErgoSpace EL4101A
My favorite thing about the Electrolux ErgoSpace is how quiet the vacuum is
and how easy it is to maneuver.
This is the only canister vacuum cleaner I have ever used that I could
carry in one arm while vacuuming. The vacuum canister also rolls
easily, because it is light and has big soft wheels that make it
very maneuverable.
I like the electrical cord storage feature. I always get really annoyed at the time
it takes to loop up the cord on my upright vacuum cleaner. For
storage purposes, I like
being able to just push the button and have the cord disappear.
The HEPA H12 filter is extremely easy to change. Its very simple, you
just flip open the door on the top of the canister, and pull the
filter right out. This is a washable HEPA
filter. The bag is also very easy to access.
The wand parking feature works very nicely. All you have to do is
slide a notch on the floor nozzle into a slot on the canister. It
feels much more sturdy and secure than others I have used. The wand
park feature, along with the compact design, means that the vacuum
cleaner stores neatly and easily.
What I did not like about the Electrolux ErgoSpace EL4101A
The tool caddy is not inside the canister, but on the handle. It
seems a little flimsy and precarious, and the tools might be easy
to lose. A caddy inside the canister would be more secure and
convenient. Of course, with a lightweight canister that only weighs
12 pounds, you can not fit everything inside the body.
In summary, I would highly recommend this vacuum cleaner to anyone
looking for a lightweight canister vacuum cleaner for smooth floors.
It performed very well on my smooth floors, and equally well on my
area rugs, leaving them fluffy and clean. At an extremely affordable
price, it is a great way to clean smooth floors, area rugs,
upholstery, drapes, and furniture.
