The Nimble really lives up to its name! The smooth steering maneuvers around furniture with ease making this vacuum
great for stairs and those hard to reach areas. The quick release wand and long hose help you keep your stairs and ceiling corners
clean, while the powerful 12 amp cyclonic technology provides power without any suction loss. Save money by not having to replace dust bags,
or filters. The EL8602A Nimble uses a bin to trap debris and washable filters to trap fine particles. Overall, this Electrolux provides all
the tools for cleaning carpet throughout the home.
Electrolux Nimble Upright Vacuum
Comparable the Dyson and Miele models, the Electrolux Nimble blends features of each of these premium brands into an
affordable package. It is a new product in our vacuum cleaner line and I had the chance to test this vacuum in our office as well as take it home to use on
my hardwood floors. Some uprights do not work so well on smooth flooring, but I liked the way the Nimble worked at my house.
What I like about the Electrolux Nimble
This vacuum is surprisingly light for how it looks. It is only 17 pounds, which for uprights, is a bit on the
lighter side. This makes it fairly easy to take up or down stairs. On the both carpet and smooth flooring, the ability to
maneuver this vacuum really shines. The way the Nimble turns reminds me of a cross between the Ball technology used by Dyson and the Swivel Neck
employed with the Miele S7 vacs. What it means for you is an easier vacuum to push that mitigates the straight-line motion
that most vacuum wheels suffer from.
For allergy and asthma sufferers, two features really stand out with the Nimble. First, a sealed system ensure no air leakage as air and debris passes through the vacuum.
Secondly, a washable HEPA filter traps 99.97% of all particle 0.3 microns and larger. So unlike other vacuums, the Nimble actually filters allergens
instead of simply redistributing them throughout your home.
The telescopic wand provides good reach, ideal for cleaning ceiling fans, the top of door jambs, and even the corners of rooms where
cobwebs collect. The 30' cord meant that I was able to vacuum my entire ranch style home from one plug.
The clear dust bin is nice for me since it clearly shows me when I need to empty it (though allergy sufferers would be better suited with a bagged vacuum).
Cleaning both smooth and carpeted surfaces was a cinch, and on steps the Versatool did help where other tools fail - edges.
What I do not like about the Electrolux Nimble
There are a couple of concerns that I had. The base is somewhat bulky, so it might not fit under all of
your furniture. It is not the quietest vacuum, but is not really louder than a standard upright.
Overall, this vacuum is a solid choice for apartments and smaller homes with a variety of floor surfaces. For the price, the
Electrolux Nimble is a great choice for home owners who want an affordable upright vacuum cleaner with HEPA
filtration. The accessories are perfect for most homes and lend to the overall versatility of this vacuum. If you don't
mind the somewhat bulky base, the Nimble is a powerful cleaning machine suitable for pet owners and people with most styles of
carpeting and bare floors.
