Stadler Form Oskar Humidifier Customer Q & A

Stadler Form Oskar Humidifier Product Details
Q1: Can you use unit without filters? Do filters work on air coming in or out of unit? We have softened purified water only.

A: You may be able to use it without the filters, but that would be akin to placing a fan next to a large bowl of water. The filters/wicks aren't generally used to filter anything really. What they do is allow moisture to be drawn up from the reservoir and greatly increase the evaporative surface area within the humidifier. The water you have wouldn't be an issue with this model since there is no metal diaphragm, and the fan blows outward to disperse humidified air back out into the room. Replacement times on the wicks is 2-3 months. Hope that helps!

Q2: Will the unit shut off automatically once the desired humidly level is reached, and restart again to maintain that level?

A: Yes. Both Oskar humidifiers do have a small humidity sensor built in to monitor humidity levels and turn on or off output. Just match up the lights to the corresponding humidity levels listed in the manual to get it about where you want it humidity level.

Q3: Can the humidifier be used without the Ionic Silver Cube? I understand why they include it...but would rather not use it.

A: Yes it can. The cube simply rests in the bottom of the humidifier, so remove it or keep it in, neither will affect the overall performance of the humidifier.
