While the chemical/particle or Techno filters would help with some of the fumes from welding, they're really not designed for a more industrial environment. The length of time they would last would depend on circulation in the space in which you're working and how long you're in the space. While they're typically rated for 50-60 hours of use, the particle filtration often extends beyond that. For fumes, odors, and smoke, the lifespan in a welding environment would be shorter than the 50-60 hours. The filters are necessarily reusable. Once the carbon in the filters has adsorbed a certain amount of chemical vapors, odors, etc. it simply cannot hold anymore. You can extend the life of that carbon by keeping the mask in a sealed bag between uses, but once it's spent, it's spent. Typically you'll notice a drop in the filtration and/or breakthrough (odors, smells, etc. passing through that normally would be filtered in a new filter).
You might want to instead consider the 3M 6291/6391. They're half mask respirators built for more industrial use. Pair that mask with the Organic Vapor cartridges of the Multi Gas cartridges for better filtration of chemical vapors, fumes, smoke and odors. Again with these filters, since they rely on carbon to adsorb the chemicals, seal them in a bag between uses.
Hope that helps!
