I live next to the elevated subway platform in Brooklyn. The dust and dirt thrown from the platform comes into my apartment and is like black soot. Upon moving in my boyfriend developed asthma and I developed a cough. After using the Safeguard Window Filter for a week my cough went away and there was no more black dust in the apartment.
