Haven't had very long, but so far it's great! Looks attractive & fits easily on nightstand. Using in a room larger than rated for--still has lowered humidity level 10-12%. Green light is very bright at night, but I just turn to point away. Is good for signaling when needs to be emptied. In my home, has to be emptied about every 3-4 days. Automatic cut-off works well. Does exactly what I wanted it to do.
  Tiny little monster

Eva-Dry is tiny and cute but she's a beast! This little device is in our bedroom 172 sq. ft., even though it's rated for a much smaller area. This is our first dehumidifier, so I wanted a small, portable one. I planned to use it both in the bedroom and bathroom if needed. It's great. It's quiet--no louder than a small fan--and does its job. I put a hygrometer right in front so I can turn it on/off as needed. One night, it went from 53% to 42%, but I haven't been keeping track of averages or anything--I also don't use it every night. I don't care for the bright green light when I'm sleeping, but it's my fault--I put little Eva-Dry on my nightstand. Some electrical tape over the light or moving it will solve that.
The GO-TO Source for air treatments

These little gems take water I would never have thought was there out of the air in my living room and bedroom. I have large dehumidifiers for my basement and loft, from achooallergy, of course, and they do a wonderful job in our wet coastal environment. But I wanted something more silent for the real living areas--these are truly "whisper quiet" and pull a lot of water out of these rooms--important for my family's health and the health of our house. Achooallergy has long been my go-to source for air purifiers and dehumidifiers. Never has been anything short of excellent.
  Superb help for small spaces

The Eva-Dry 1100 Petite Dehumidifier does a solid job in my master bedroom bath. Pulls a great deal of humidity out over the course of a few days. Easy to remove tray, easy dumping. I think it would be optimal in small humid closets though as this unit is overrun by the constant showering we do in the small bathroom, still it made an improvement in my master bedroom bath, perhaps this plus an adsorption unit would be optimal for me.
  Better than I expected

I have been living in a house just two blocks away from the beach. Been sleeping in the same wet and moldy room for more than 8 yrs now. Everything feels sticky and wet. The room gets moldy behind my bed and other furniture. When the weather is extremely cold, all the walls in my room get really wet, like someone took a very hot shower in my room. Don't know why I didn't think of getting a dehumidifier until now. Searched online and found this item. Smaller than I expected. Since this is my first dehumidifier, I didn't expect a lot from it. Been using this machine for about 2 months now. You can definitely hear the fan noise when the room is completely quiet, otherwise you can barely hear it. I usually turn on the machine in the morning when I'm at work and turn it off when I go to bed. This machine can suck in about .5in of water in 12-18 hrs everyday. I can feel the things in my room are drier. The bad moldy smell in still in the room, probably because it's an old house and the molds are trapped under the carpet. The walls and furniture are not wet anymore. I think the only way to get rid of the smell is to get rid of the carpet. Final words are, this machine works better than I expected. Low noise and sucks in more water than I thought. 5 stars rating is about right. Hope this message helps those who are looking for a dehumidifier.
  I was skeptical...

...that something so small would pull the kind of moisture it does. Even though i live in Palm Springs, and everybody says "yes but it's a dry heat", temps of 112 with humidity levels of 30 percent, make that "dry heat" uncomfortable. I bought 2 of these for our condominium & they do what i need them to do, and they're quiet as well!
Works well, but power cord trouble
Reviewed by: Lisa from Virginia

I purchased this dehumidifier for my daughter's bathroom, and it worked very well. It removed the extra moisture we can't get rid of here in Virginia. But, after a year the power cord quit working. The company replaced it, but after another year, it happened again. Although this device works well, the price is too high for two years use.

  niche product

Extremely quiet and small, this product would be great for a closet sized area. I got one as a gift to use in my basement, and the eva-dry doesn't do the job for that - but it wasn't designed for that type of function. This product fits the niche for a small space.

I live in the Pacific Northwest. Used the chemical type and hated the stink. The Eve Dry works great and no smell and no costly chemicals to buy.

Living in Arkansas you have to get rid of humidity somehow. This product does remove it from the air I dump out about 1/2 an inch of water a day. Unfortunately, it can't keep up with AR. The difference is not noticeable in the feel of the air in my room, mold still grows, and my wood furniture is still swelling from the moisture.

This little dehumidifier is an amazing little machine. I was having readings of 62% humidity levels in a large walkin closet. I can't believe how quickly and how much moisture this little machine can pull from the air. The levels have now dropped to the low 40% range.

i asked the EVA-DRY 1100 to dehumidify my 21 foot motor home. I live in Portland, ORegon. At the time of use, the humidity was 70%. In 24 hours the Petite decreased humidity to 65%; about 5 to 6 ounces. Additional time did not increase moisture volume in the tray. The volume of water in the tray seemed to increase proportionally each hour throghout the 24 hours of use. how large a unit do it need.

VERY Quiet, small, and efficient. They will fit in anywhere, i.e. a countertop or any table. I bought three of these to replace two 40-pint Whirlpool dehumidifiers that became so deafening loud and were always in the way, especially in the bathroom. The three Eva-Dry's have kept the humidity below 45 even when it's been raining every day. The peace and quiet is priceless, but they also work exceptionally well for their size!
