  good vacuum on hardwood and ceramic tile

I am an allergy sufferer, so I researched the vacuums about 5 years ago when I found the Sebo. The suction is great when it has a new bag in it but once it is half full, the vacuum starts to lose some suction. However, it cleans well. I wished that the cord was longer like other vacuums.

I've had this unit for two years now and have had to do little beyond change the filter the the bags. It's worked well in my home, but it is all laminate and tile. I don't think it would work so well on carpet, but it's been a good vacuum for me. Next time I think I will opt for one with a few more features though.

The SEBO C2.1 Canister Vacuum is the introductory model into the SEBO line of vacuum cleaners. This durable canister offers the basics when it
comes to efficient, HEPA filtration and smooth floor cleaning ability. Though it may lack some of the upgrades found in other SEBO models,
the C2.1 is an excellent vacuum for asthma and allergy sufferers looking to eliminate allergens and clean all types of smooth flooring.
What I like about the C2.1
Filtration is the common denominator across the board when it comes to SEBO vacuums. Each model, whether the introductory C2.1 canister or
a top of the line Felix upright, features S-Class filtration. The standard filter for SEBO vacuums effectively traps 99.9% of all particles
down to 0.3 microns in size. The dust bags provide and initial three layers of filtration, trapping large particles, hair, dirt and dust.
The C2.1, like each SEBO vacuum, comes equipped with a sealed system to prevent leakage of dirty air back into your home. This sealed
system also works to keep air flowing smoothly through the system while preventing dirty air from mixing with filtered air.
Durability is the next key feature of the SEBO C2.1. Like others, this canister vacuums comes with a 5 year warranty.
SEBO vacuums are
designed to withstand rigorous cleaning and are the preferred choice of cleaning professionals the world over. The shell is a durable
ABS plastic, and the canisters come with a built in rubber strip around the base of the unit to protect your furniture and walls from
any possible damage.
The C2.1 canister comes standard with a parquet floor brush. This bristle brush works well for removing hair, dirt and other particles
from smooth flooring, including tile, hardwood, laminate and linoleum. This vacuum also comes with three accessory tools to help clean
ledges, corners and any other tight spaces where a traditional vacuum head cannot reach. 360 degree swiveling wheels allow for easy
movement across smooth flooring, and the auto cord rewind is a convenient feature that ensures you never have to worry about a
tangled cord.
What I did not like about the C2.1
This canister is an introductory model, and as such, it lacks some of the amenities found in the more expensive canisters in the
SEBO line. First and foremost is the lack of a powerhead. This limits your cleaning to primarily smooth flooring. For carpets
and particularly for pet owners with rugs or carpets, I would suggest stepping up to the C3.1 canister which comes with your choice
of two powerheads. Knowing what type of flooring you will be cleaning is key in selecting the vacuum that will best meet your
cleaning needs.
Also lacking with this model are some of the electronic features found more often in the upper end of the SEBO line of vacuum
cleaners. Options like height adjustment or suction control are not included with this canister.
Though not a priority for some, this model comes standard in teal. As long as effective cleaning and first rate air filtration
are priorities, the color should weigh little in your decision.
Overall, the SEBO C2.1 canister is what it is - an excellent introductory canister vacuum that features great filtration, basic
features, and excellent smooth floor cleaning ability, all backed by the solid reputation of the leader in professional/commercial
cleaning. The price is reasonable, and the results are hard to beat.

9/2/12 The Dyson DC24 is the most amazing vacuum I have ever tried! It is so light-weight and easy to use but has three times the strength of any vacuum I have ever handled. I love it!
