  Effective but Delicate

This box spring cover is incredibly delicate--if you have plastic corners or any exposed staples on your box spring, be very ginger when putting the cover on because it rips very easily.
The cover will also emit a new plastic smell for a few days. If you don't want to deal with this, air it out outside for a day or two.
It's a nice looking product and, if you don't rip it, does the trick.

A Must Have: Boxspring Cover

How many of you dread cleaning under your bed because of pesky dust mites (and pet dander) that thrive down there? I did until I discovered the vinyl boxspring cover. Now that I have one, I've noticed a decrease in my allergies when I clean under the bed. I also have a better peace of mind knowing the mites and dander that do exist aren't infiltrating my bed.
And about the vinyl, the smell was minimal the first day then non-existant after that. I'm sensitive to smells and this cover didn't bother me at all.
Another bonus of this product: not only does it minimize the dander in bed, it keeps the cat from hiding inside the boxspring. Bad for her, good for me.

Sleep Fresh Vinyl Box Spring Encasings:
Sleep Fresh Vinyl is a perfect material for your box springs. Although,
I would not recommend putting it on your mattress. Vinyl is not very
breathable and can be very uncomfortable to sleep on if it is close to
your body. However, since it is recommended for to use on box springs
only, the disadvantages of vinyl no longer pose a problem. Sleep
Fresh Vinyl is inexpensive, durable and easy to clean.
What I did like about Sleep Fresh Vinyl Box Spring Encasing
- Effective, inexpensive way to cover box springs to protect from
dust mites
- Easy to clean: just wash with a wet rag or vacuum
- Thick vinyl, heavy duty and very durable, does not rip easily,
which is important when covering box springs
- Completely encases the entire box springs and zips
- Easy to put on
What I didn't like about the Sleep Fresh Vinyl Box Spring Encasings:
- Had a "plasticky" smell at first, which went away after the first
night
In summary, I recommend covering your box springs with the Sleep
Fresh Vinyl encasings. It is a quality product at a low price. Not
only is it effective, but it is an inexpensive and a perfectly
priced way to encase your box springs because they are never felt
and rarely seen.
