Could Not Believe the Difference the Bed Made

"Ten years ago my husband Jesse had an accident at work that change our whole lives forever. He hurt his lower back at the L4, L5 section. After many operations he was still not able to lay flat. We tried the best flat mattress we could find. The orthopedic doctor recommended it. We wasted $1700. He tried for a solid week to sleep on it. By the end of the week he cold not walk without a walker. I had to pull him and out of the bed. Finally he started sleeping in his recliner while I had to sleep on the couch. After 18 months of this we got the Tempur-Pedic Adjustable bed. The first night, it took Jesse about 10 a hit what he calls the "sweet spot". Can't Thank You Enough

"November 2004: I can't thank you enough for your help! The bed was delivered mid morning on Friday. I have had nearly a week of sleeping on the bed and it improves each night. I sure do wish that I had this bed when I first came home from the hospital. The way that the bed allows my hips to sink into it is great. It is much better than my regular mattress pushing back up on my hip, which was broken, and is attached to the rest of my pelvis that had two more breaks in it. It is great that now I can lounge in the bed and read or watch TV and it is not hurting my sacrum, which was broken, and now has a 6" screw through it. This bed does what you said it would do in relieving my pain and improving my sleep! December 2004: I just wanted to give you an update on how my recovery is doing...Great! Even my wife is liking the bed. She just told me that she does not wake up hurting as badly in the middle of her back. "I am almost 75 years old, but still love the out-of-doors and working in our 15 acres of flowers and gardens. My problem is chronic pain caused by bulging discs, degenerative discs, pinched nerves, and severe arthritis from head to toe. I have gone through physical therapy, aquaculture, many chiropractic therapy sessions, have visited several orthopedic doctors, and three neurosurgeons to find relief from my pain…all to no avail. A Bed Is A Bed, Right?

"Well, I don’t think so. In the interest of patient comfort and ultimately economic benefits, I wanted to share with you my experience with trying out different sleeping products. Having been diagnosed with arthritis as well as fibromyalgia, I could not find anything which would assure me of a good night’s sleep. Of course the pain kept me awake, but a good sleep would offer relief from the pain. I had literally given up, until I was allowed to try the mattress which I had heard so much about, which utilized the open cell material. I understand that there are a number of mattresses of this type on the market. Some are very good, some are not so good. Mine happened to be a Tempur-Pedic® mattress. The first night on this mattress, I had a good 8 hours of sleep. The pain was still the same but the relief was wonderful. If you have ever tried this type of mattress, you will realize the benefit. My body was molded into the mattress and I barely moved during the night. I since have learned that there are some facilities who use this type of sleeping product and find that it is more economical to use to prevent skin breakdown than some of the more expensive beds. Also, I would theorize that patients with Alzheimer’s and similar diseases would find this type of mattress very comfortable, and just like me, hate to get out it in the morning!"
