Getting a small child to take a breathing treatment can be one of the most difficult tasks as a parent. While there is little that changes this, there are a few things that can help take the "clinical" feel out of experience. Two different sizes of children's masks are available for use with the PARI Vortex holding chamber. The Baby Whirl Duckling Mask is for toddlers ages one to two years, and the Spinner Duck Mask is available for children ages three and up. These masks not only help children get their medicine, but they also make the treatment more fun!

*Please note that these face masks should only be used with the PARI Vortex non-electrostatic valved holding chamber. The Vortex face masks should not be used with any other PARI products since this could cause improper treatment or a suffocation hazard.

Vortex Ducky Masks

The Ducky Masks are basic additions to a Vortex holding chamber that help effectively administer an aerosol breathing treatment without the hospital feel. Two sizes and colors give you some flexibility and the masks themselves are easy to use and care for. After using these masks with my younger sister, this is what I found.

• The masks are soft to the touch and help effectively administer breathing treatments and aerosolized medications
• Clean up was simple - I rinse them in hot water to get several uses out of them before replacement
• Though they are best used on the Vortex holding chamber, they also fit a variety of other asthma holding chambers

• Limited use
