Boneco 7145 Cool Mist Humidifier
As the temperature dips, often indoor humidity levels do as well, and this can cause problems for people with allergies, asthma, eczema, and really anyone since dry air does not discriminate as to whom it gives a sore throat, cough, dry skin, or chapped lips. Restoring comfort in your home often relies upon getting much needed moisture back into your indoor air, and there are few more efficient or economical ways to do this than with the Boneco 7145 ultrasonic humidifier.
Putting up to three gallons of moisture per day back into your indoor air, the 7145 quietly but effectively humidifies small, medium, and even larger rooms. Using ultrasonic vibrations, the 7145 turns regular tap water into a soothing mist that provides relief from the effects of dry air and low humidity. Not only does this help you feel better, but normal humidity levels help to keep more dust from becoming airborne and can even help protect wood furniture from cracking or splitting.
While putting this much needed moisture back into the air, how does the Boneco 7145 humidifier keep your home clean and hygienic? Using several different technologies, the 7145 not only removes hard water minerals but also microbes from the water. And, this room humidifier couldn't be easier to use. Once set up, simply adjust the humidity level with one dial and the output with the other. You'll be feeling better and sleeping better in no time!

Boneco Ultrasonic Humidifier
The Boneco 7145 Ultrasonic is the more economical cousin of the digital, dual mist 7147 Boneco humidifier. So while you get the same look, you give up some in the way of features for a better price and nearly identical performance. How does this model compare to the 7147 and other humidifiers? After a side-by-side comparison, here is what we found.
What I like about the Boneco 7145 Ultrasonic Humidifier
The performance of the 7145 humidifier is going to be almost exactly the same as the 7147. The daily output is a comparable three gallons per day, and the tank size is the same. Overall, the room size and coverage is slightly less but still in the same ballpark. In both instances the coverage and output is slightly but not significantly less due to the lack of the pre-warm feature. Warmed mist disperses quicker and can travel farther than cooler mist, and the 7145 is a cool mist only humidifier.
This brings me to my second point. The Boneco 7145 is a cool mist humidifier. For most people this isn't an issue, and for year round use, many people prefer this. And while it does lack the pre-warm feature, it's important to remember that the pre-warm feature does not boil the water, only warms it to about 175°. The upside to being a cool mist humidifier is that it does consume less power than a warm mist model.
The Boneco 7145 is very simple to use. Fill the tank from the bottom, replace the tank on the unit, and set the desired humidity and output level with two knobs. That's it! In addition to being easy to use, it's also very quiet. In general, ultrasonic humidifiers tend to be some of the quietest available. This means other than a very low hum, the 7145 shouldn't be an issue for a light sleeper.
While this model may lack things like the more advanced Intelligent Temperature Compensation (ITC) feature found in other Boneco models, it still retains all the things that make these humidifiers the most hygienic available. This includes a Hydro Cell, made from activated carbon to adsorb impurities in the water; a demineralization cartridge, that not only removes hard water minerals but neutralizes microbes with the ionic silver embedded into the case/shell of the cartridge; and, ultrasonic vibrations that can literally destroy the cell walls of microbes and pathogens.
The dual directional output regulator is a small but helpful feature. This allows you to split the mist stream for better coverage in all areas. The smoke/carbon colored water fill tank is transparent enough for you to notice when the humidifier needs to be refilled, and this unit comes with an empty indicator light as well.
What I do not like about the Boneco 7145 Ultrasonic Humidifier
The capacity of the tank may be a drawback for some. Though the overall output is the same as larger models, the smaller tank may require you to fill it more often if you need a great deal of moisture pushed back into the air of your home.
Though the controls are simple to use, some people may find they like having the ability to set a timer, having a digital display, and being able to see a reading of the current relative humidity in the room.
While you do give up some in terms of more advanced controls and optional features, the AOS 7145 is a very economical unit with uncompromising results. From moisture output and hygienic features to the modern finish and compact design, the 7145 Ultrasonic is solid room humidifier that won't break your budget.
