HEPA filters in an Austin Air air purifier should be replaced every three to five years. Depending on usage and environment, the pre-filter on these units should be replaced annually. <\/p>\n<p>Austin replacement HEPA filters are interchangeable. Any filters for the HEGA, Healthmate, Healthmate Plus (Superblend), and Pet (only HM-400) can be used in any other unit of the same size.
