That's where the Blueair Pro SmokeStop Filters come in. These filters take the HEPASilent filter media of the standard filter and add a layer of granulated, activated carbon. So not only do you get particle filtration but also the removal of smoke and odors.
The activated carbon is infused with magnesium dioxide and copper oxide to broaden the filtration range of chemicals. This makes the Pro Smokestop filter one of the most comprehensive in the industry.
The SmokeStop filter fits all Pro series air purifiers. The Blueair Pro M air purifier requires 1 filter, while the Pro L requires 2, and the Pro XL requires 3 of the Smokestop filters. Each filter features a butterfly fold to create the unique V-shape found only in the Blueair Pro air purifiers. Replace filters every six months or sooner if needed.
