Reliable Steamboy Pro 300CU Steam Mop
One of the drawbacks with the original Steamboy steam mop is the lack of scrubbing ability. Reliable has solved that problem with the Steamboy Pro 300CU (formerly T3) steam mop! This dual action steam mop comes with the same sanitizing and cleaning ability of steam but now with an integrated stiff bristle scrub brush. With the push of a pedal you go from steam cleaning to steam scrubbing grout, tile and other uneven or porous surfaces that are traditionally difficult to clean.
The Steamboy Pro 300CU uses 248° steam to sanitize and deep clean all of your floors. As a safer, healthier alternative to chemical cleaners, the Steamboy Pro 300CU uses superheated steam to unlock dirt, soil and even odors from hard surfaces through a process known as heat-transfer. Because the Steamboy Pro 300CU uses mostly heat instead of large amounts of water like traditional mops and hot water extractors, your floors dry quickly, often in a matter of seconds or at most a couple minutes. For a healthier kind of clean on tile, hardwood, laminate, linoleum, and other smooth flooring, the Steamboy Pro 300CU steam mop is the right tool for the job.

Reliable Steamboy Pro 300CU Steam Cleaner and Scrubber (formerly the Pro T3)
Steam mops are incredibly handy cleaning tools to have around the house. Most are very easy to use, lightweight, relatively inexpensive and do a far better job of really cleaning your floors than a traditional mop and bucket. One drawback with a steam mop though, especially for stuck on mess and grime, is almost none of them give you the ability to dislodge this tough type of soil and stain. You can go with a canister style steam cleaner, which often have a bristle attachment, but those tend to be far more expensive than a steam mop. Reliable took that one drawback and made it a strength with the new Pro 300CU steam mop. After use around my house for a week, this is how the 300CU compares to the other Reliable steam mops and other similar products.
What I like about the Reliable Pro 300CU Steam Mop
Scrubber - The integrated scrubber head is the biggest improvement with the Reliable Pro 300CU . You simply push the foot pedal and the base releases from the rest of the mop. I liked it, particularly for the small tiled areas in front of my doors. In both situations, the rest of the flooring in those rooms is hardwood and linoleum, respectively. So, I steam cleaned the floors, and when I got to the tile, I simply pushed the pedal and detached the scrubber head to clean the grout. When I was finished, I reattached the head, then cleaned up the mess I had loosened with the microfiber pad.
Heat Up Time - In literally seconds, you're ready to deep clean and sanitize. Unlike boiler style steam cleaners, the Reliable Pro uses a "flash heating" system, similar to what a tankless hot water heater uses. This allows for heating to take place in seconds not minutes, which also means you don't have to sit around and wait 7-12 minutes for the water to heat before you can begin cleaning. It doesn't seem like much, but like most people, I'm busy. So if I am steam cleaning the house, and this saves me 10 minutes each time I have to refill the tank, that's me finishing a half hour sooner!
Deep Cleans and Sanitizes - Most people clean for appearances, and for many of us, this is well and fine. However, we all know there are plenty of things that can't always be seen, like bacteria, viruses and mold. Steam cleaning not only tackles the visible mess but kills the stuff we can't see. More than cleaning for appearances, steam cleaning is cleaning for your health. Best of all, steam cleaning leaves behind no chemical residue and doesn't emit chlorine or ammonia fumes that are a hallmark of traditional cleaners. For those with asthma, chemical sensitivities or other respiratory problems, getting things truly clean without the vapors and residue can be a big step in the right direction.
Unlocks Odors - This steam mop, like other models I've tested, generally tends to make my linoleum smell like wet dog for a day or so afterwards. Even smooth flooring like this can and does trap odor molecules. So when superheated steam unlocks these molecules, it is releasing an odor that is actually trapped in your flooring. If you steam clean consistently, this will eventually get to the point where any odor is minimal since you aren't allowing it to build up in the flooring.
Lightweight and Slim - Even filled with water, the entire steam mop weighs less than 10 pounds. While I do not have a lot of steps in my home, for larger homes, it's nice to have a lightweight cleaner. The overall profile of the Pro 300CU is slim, so it fits fairly easily in even a narrow closet or corner.
Replaceable Parts - The 300UC has three replaceable parts, and with each being replaceable, it provides convenience and can ultimately save you having to replace the entire mop for quite some time. First is the water filter. No need for using distilled water. Tap water will work just fine with the filter, which will trap mineral content and other particles in the water that could damage the heating system. Second, the microfiber pads can be replaced. Over time, they'll get stained and lose some absorbency. Plus, the T1 drawstring microfiber pads fit this model. I prefer those over the included pads because they seem to absorb moisture and hold soil better. Lastly, the scrubber head itself can actually be replaced. For me, this was a big plus since the scrubber head will wear out with a lot of use on rough surfaces, like grout. And if it is worn, it takes away the biggest advantage of the 300UC.
What I do not like about the Reliable Pro 300CU Steam Mop
I never have been, and likely never will be a big fan of the style of microfiber pads that are included with the 300UC. These are a fairly standard type of pad for many steam mops, but I find the drawstring microfiber pads for the T1 are more absorbent. Luckily, they fit well enough on the 300CU.
I wish the tank capacity was a little bit larger. It's slightly smaller than the T1.
