Not just an ordinary mask
I ordered one of these masks, since then I have ordered 5 more. This mask is perfect. it fits well and is very comfortable. the blue one works very well when wearing jeans !!! I have wore it out to the garden center, to the food store and in my garden. It is light weight , the fabric is soft and easy to wash. My daughter even commented that it really looked nice. I have had really bad asthma for about a month , the mask enabled me to leave the house.

Very soft and nice fitting mask for outdoor and it doesn't look like a hospital mask. Only querk I have is that when you inhale , it seems to suck in a bit too much but maybe I need to wear it longer to get used to it. 4 stars though !!

This has been a blessing for my allergies. I was using the paper ones before, they did nothing. I'm allergic to everything outside and I live in Florida.

Beneficial product
This allergy mask is very effective, washes well, is comfortable to wear & I have seen appreciable results using this mask. I am severely allergic to horses, dust & hay among other things. I have been wearing this mask while I'm @ the stable & since I have been wearing it, I have suffered much less from my typical allergy symptoms.

very helpful item
I have pollen allergies to the point where I get sinuses that flip flop back and fourth between congestion and post nasal drip, constant sneezing and coughing, and the occasional nosebleed. Not to mention that I hate taking allergy medication because I don't know how I will react to it. Even the "non-drowsy" stuff can make me drowsy. If it doesn't, it feels like my chest is going to explode like the Chestbuster scene from Alien. I decided to try a mask on a whim and it really has helped. I bought a cotton mask and a microfiber mask. These masks feel so comfortable that I actually enjoy wearing one. I like it so much that that have suggested it to several of my friends. Personally, I use this mask in addition to nasal irrigation and they help so much. Anytime outside, I would sneeze my head off. Now, I don't do any of that at all. This is certainly a pleasant surprise&ltbr&gt&ltbr&gt[Editor's Note: Any reference to the movie Aliens... kudos!]

Odor Eater
great allergy mask. Wouldn't be able to go outside or shopping due to sensitivity to odors. Light weight and very comfortable

Cotton mask is breathable
Many reviews say the mask is hard to breathe through, but I did not find this to be the case. Perhaps the microfiber masks are harder to breathe through than the cotton ones.

All style, but...
I'm not a fan of this mask. I found it too difficult to breathe through, and I normally don't have difficulty with masks, or even respirators. It probably filters well, but the problem is that with it being difficult to breathe through, air invariably leaks in and out around the top and sides of the mask, which would limit its filtration ability. The instructions also tell me that it can't be washed, but that I could refresh it with rosewater. So it's not very reusable either, though it's probably comparable in reusability to a Respro HEPA filter.

Microfiber Vogmask Reviews

Microfiber Vogmask Face Masks

Just a few short years ago, Vogmask entered the market. As a stylish mask that offered filtration of particles, dirt and dust, these masks have become synonymous with colorful patterns and effective filtering of indoor and outdoor air. As the first product produced, the Classic Microfiber Vogmask retains these qualities but with improved filtration. In addition to this improvement, Vogmasks have expanded, with four types of masks now available. Like the Classic, the new Microfiber masks are nearly indistinguishable with two exceptions. What is it that makes microfiber Vogmasks such a popular allergy relief mask, and what are the difference between the Classic and new Microfiber Vogmasks?

What I like about the Microfiber Vog Mask

Much of what makes the Microfiber Vogmask so popular comes down to two things - style and filtration. First, let's start with the most common complaints about allergy masks, mainly that they generally only come in white or are uncomfortable. Vogmasks are unique in that they come in a wide range of styles and colors. From vibrant and lively to simple patterns, each gives you the ability to tailor a mask to your personal taste. In terms of comfort, Vogmasks use a non-latex spandex for the trim and ear loops. Covered in fabric, this makes them soft but flexible and snug fitting around your face. The nosepiece is soft aluminum, so it can be adjusted for the perfect fit around your nose.

For filtration, both types of microfiber offer three layer filtration, and each provides recommended protection against viruses, germs and other microbes. This makes them the ideal travel mask when spending hours in the cramped confines of an airplane is common. This is also where the masks differentiate themselves. The Classic microfiber mask is N95 rated, meaning it filters out 95% of the penetrating particles. This rating also means that it will trap the majority of particle allergens like pollen, mold spores, dander, and dust. The new microfiber Vogmask exceeds this with its N99 filter rating. As one step below HEPA filtration (N100), the N99 rated Vogmasks trap 99% of the particulate described above. Best of all, all of these masks have been independently tested to meet or exceed these filtration ratings.

These masks are also very breathable. While filtering allergens, they do not trap as much heat as comparable masks. During the winter months, the little heat and moisture they retain when you exhale is enough to cut the chill of winter and can help some with cold weather-induced asthma. In all, they strike a balance that makes them a good mask for year round use.

Unlike paper dust masks, many of which are also N95 rated, microfiber Vogmasks are reusable. Most people can get three to five months of use from each mask before needing to replace it. When not in use, you can store the microfiber mask in a sealed bag to prolong the life of the mask. (This only applies to the microfiber mask with the activated carbon in the filter.) Also unlike cheaper masks, each Vogmask is hand washable. While we recommend you do not submerge the microfiber masks, as it can affect filter efficiency, they can be hand washed to remove dirt, debris or dust that has collected on the outer shell of the mask.

The last plus to these allergy masks is price. While not as cheap as a single use paper mask, the price is affordable enough for most to have year round protection.

What I did not like about the Microfiber Vog Mask

The only real downside to this mask is the lack of activated carbon or charcoal. For the microfiber Vogmask it means little protection from smoke, odors or fragrances as only the very largest of the particles that make up these things will be trapped by the filter media. Also, sizing has a problem for some in the past. A few people may find that they are a part of the "most" with regard to the "one size fits most" category. For very large individuals, mask with specific sizing might provide a better fit.

In all, the each microfiber Vogmask is lightweight and easy to take with you wherever you go. They provide excellent filtration of common air pollutants and allergens and can be reused for months before ever needing to be replaced. From the patterns and styles to filtration and fit, the microfiber Vogmasks combine the look that you want with the filtration that you need.
