Hey Kevin! I was looking around the old basement and I found an Enviracaire unit similar to yours, but mine is EV-1. It's basically in mint condition and has a new sealed filter to acompany it… any idea if it can be sold as an antique”?”

    Pablo,

What a neat find! The EV-1 would have been one of the very first units they manufactured for that brand. I spent some time this afternoon looking down a few different avenues for possible takers of the unit. I've yet to find an air purifier museum”.

There are a variety of historical museums you could try. Though it might be a long shot, something like the Museum of American History a division of the Smithsonian, might be worth contacting and sending a photo. It was made in Pennsylvania, so a state or regional museum associated with manufacturing or American home appliances might be a start. In general, there aren't many true American manufacturing museums, but it fits in that category. Honeywell might also be worth contacting. On their main site they have a Contact Us page where it might be worth dropping a line.

If all else fails and you have space, I would keep my hands on it for a bit longer. It may not be highly prized right now, but who knows what collection or museum it might fit in, in the future. Appreciate you dropping the line though. Send a couple pics if you have a moment. I might do an update on this thread in a new post. [email protected]
