The HEPA 500 Air Scrubber is designed as a companion to your Dri-Eaz dehumidifiers to be used for drying purposes during water damage and clean up projects. If you are working in an area where dust, mold, and other contaminants are present or in spaces where indoor air quality is a concern, you need to purify the air with this industrial grade air purifier. The HEPA 500 comes standard with a HEPA filter to capture dangerous particles. Two separate prefilters work to trap the larger particles and increase the lifespan of the HEPA filter. This is the first and only air scrubber in the market designed to deliver the highest CADR - and achieve 99.97% true HEPA efficiency at 500 CFM.

What I like about the HEPA 500

In our company, one of our main goals it figure out ways to make indoor air quality better for allergy sufferers. Most commercial air purifiers and dehumidifiers do not take into account our main customers. The HEPA 500 is different. Its main job is to scrub the air clean and it does its job very well. I like that you can upgrade to an Activated Carbon Filter. Dri-Eaz also has a new DOP (Dispersed Oil Particulate or Di-Octyl Phthalate) Pre-filter that can be installed in this unit.

My other favorite quality of this air purifier is the ability to stack these. "Daisy Chain" capability means that the units can be linked together. They also can be stacked tightly and safely to make a wall of air purification. I like this feature, because you might only have one power outlet available.

Use is simple and easy to operate. The lifetime warranty on the body allows for years of service, and the Microban that is infused in the plastic actively works to keep the unit free of harmful bacteria and other pathogens that are common on water damage restoration sites.

What I do not like about the HEPA 500

This unit is very sturdy. However, it is made of a molded plastic. Dri-Eaz promotes the unit as easily transportable, but it does not have wheels. You can carry and lift the machine with the convenient handle, but it does weigh 44 pounds. You can move them between rooms or job sites, but it might not be easy for one person to load into a truck bed.

Overall, the Dri-Eaz HEPA 500 is a great commercial/industrial air purifier. From the design and construction to the air filtration results this machine is durable and built to handle the rigors of any construction or restoration site.
