AHAM's Clean Air Delivery Rate (CADR) has been used in other markets for years. This measurement is an indicator of the actual volume of cleaner air delivered per minute. CADR factors in how the filtration system and the entire machine work together and the airflow rate of the machine.

Dri-Eaz HEPA 500 Air Scrubber

The HEPA 500 Air Scrubber is designed as a companion to your Dri-Eaz dehumidifiers to be used for drying purposes during water damage and clean up projects. If you are working in an area where dust, mold, and other contaminants are present, you need to purify the air as well as dry out the damaged areas. The HEPA 500 comes standard with a HEPA filter to capture dangerous particles. This is the first and only air scrubber in the market designed to deliver the highest CADR - and achieve 99.97% true HEPA efficiency at 500 CFM.

What I like about the HEPA 500

In our company, one of our main goals it figure out ways to make indoor air quality better for allergy sufferers. Most commercial air purifiers and dehumidifiers do not take into account our main customers. The HEPA 500 is different. Its main job is to scrub the air clean and it does its job very well. I like that you can upgrade to an Activated Carbon Filter. Dri-Eaz also has a new DOP (Dusty Oil Particulate) Pre-filter that can be installed in this unit.

My other favorite quality of this air purifier is the ability to stack these. "Daisy Chain" capability means that the units can be linked together. They also can be stacked tightly and safely to make a wall of air purification. I like this feature, because you might only have one power outlet available.

What I do not like about the HEPA 500

This unit is very sturdy. However, it is made of a molded plastic. Dri-Eaz promotes the unit as easily transportable, but it does not have wheels. You can carry and lift the machine with the convenient handle, but it does weigh 44 pounds. You can move them between rooms or job sites, but it might not be easy for one person to load into a truck bed.
