| This handy powder is the perfect way to neutralize household
allergens caused by dust mites, pets, and pollens. Simply
sprinkle the X-Mite powder onto your rug, carpet, or upholstered furniture,
brush it into carpet using a broom or small handbrush, and allow three hours before
vacuuming to let the X-Mite do its work. The special
anti-allergen formula contains non-abrasive sponge-like particles,
which contain a water-based cleaning solution and a powerful
ingredient to denature most household allergens. Allersearch X-Mite
will also clean and refresh your velvet, velour, corduroy and other
pile fabrics.
Allersearch X-Mite powder is available in a 1 pound bag which treats
approximately 150 square feet. It is non-toxic and safe for
people, pets, and the environment. Recommended application is every
90 days, however it may be necessary to apply X-Mite more frequently
in areas with high allergen concentration.

We have a cat but no one in our immediate family has allergies. However, Some good friends who often come for the holidays do have allergies. In the past they could only stay for a couple of hours even though I vacuumed thoroughly and kept the cat outside for a couple of weeks. I have used Allersearch x-Mite Powder a couple of times now and they are able to stay and visit the whole day! I also run an air purifier. Thank you!

This product started us sneezing right away was glad there were test direction and it was use in a spot away from regular use.

I believe this product works well however, you are to leave on for 3 hours before sweeping.. didn't know that til I already had it on my carpet and then couldn't sweep.

Q1: How often should you use this product?
A: Generally once every three months. The time between the first application and the 2nd might be shorter, but after that, regular maintenance is about every three months.
Q2: Can this product be applied to mattresses?

A: While it's physically possible to use this on your mattress, X-Mite won't penetrate deep enough into your mattress to be fully effective. This is partly why it is suggested that for use on carpets, you use a "rake" or brush to make sure it penetrates deep into the carpeting. Your best bet for mattress protection is encasing the mattress then periodically washing the encasings in the Allergen Wash.

Allersearch X-Mite Powder
Allersearch X-Mite is extremely very effective in neutralizing dust mites, dust mite allergen and a variety
of other allergens. What is so great about Allersearch X-Mite is you can see where you
sprinkle the moist powder, which makes it easier to see what you
have and have not treated. Plus, after you simply sprinkle the powder, rub it in with the head of your vacuum, broom or
hand brush and wait a few hours, you just vacuum it up. Unlike other products, you say you're going
to use, the Allersearch X-Mite is so easy to use you actually will
follow through. I recommend sprinkling it before you go to run
errands for a few hours then when you come back just vacuum it up.

- Can see what areas you have treated
- Doesn't have a strong smell
- No mixing or spraying required
- Won't fade colors or stain
What I don't like about Allersearch X-Mite
- I wish it came in a bigger package.
In summary, I give the Allersearch X-Mite powder 5 out of 5 stars. This is
a product that makes it easy to help reduce your allergen load by effectively controlling
dust mite allergen in your carpet and on your furniture. For
those of us who don't like to put much effort into controlling our
indoor environment, this is the perfect product. Affordable,
effective, and doesn't take up much time to use.
