Controlling dust mites in your bedding can work wonders for
alleviating allergy symptoms. The de-mite Laundry Additive is
an effective way to remove these dust mite allergens from laundry,
without having to wash it in temperatures above 140 degrees. Simply wash
your bedding and any other items, with about 2 tablespoons of
de-mite added to your normal washer load. Effective in hot,
warm, or cold water, and completely safe for all washable, colorfast
fabrics. One 8-oz bottle lasts for 11-12 loads.
*De-mite solution contains anionic and non-ionic surfactants, benzyl
benzoate, tea tree oil, and methyl salicylate.

Simple to use

This product is very easy to add to a load of laundry--one quick extra step and not at all messy. The smell is noticeable, but not strong or offensive. It is a little pricey when compared to the cost of regular laundry detergent, but I only use it for my sheets so it lasts a long time. I'll definitely be buying more when my supply is depleted.

De-mite Laundry Additive is a "must buy" for dust mite allergy sufferers. Before I started washing my laundry with this product, I suffered sinus trouble often, including 2-3 sinus infections a year. Now I use De-mite Laundry Additive to wash my bedding, curtains and clothes. I have been using the product for over a year as part of my allergy relief plan and have not had one sinus infection. I like De-mite because it works with any water temperature. The tea-tree oil smell might bother some people but most clothing detergents overpower it. This is a great product that has helped changed my quality of life.

could use a better bottle design

De-mite works great. Personally I do best with half the recommended amount per laundry load -- I get the benefit without the smell. My one suggestion is to redesign the top of the bottle to make sure none gets out when the bottle lies sideways and that you don't get drips going down the side. This is too expensive to waste. A drip-saving design like the tops of laundry detergent would work.

De-mite Laundry Additive is a great product for riding clothing and
other washable items of dust mites. I use de-mite Laundry Additive
for washing things that cannot be washed in hot water. De-mite is
effective in killing dust mites in warm or cold water. De-mite is
safe for all washable, colorfast fabrics.
What I like about De-mite Laundry Additive:

Allows me to use my own detergent (for fragrance)
- Kills dust mites on washables that cannot be washed in hot water
What I didn't like about De-mite Laundry Additive:
- Has a slight odor (tea tree oil)
In summary, I recommend De-mite Laundry Additive to anyone who is
allergic to dust mites and has fine washables that cannot be washed
in hot water. I prefer the De-mite Laundry Additive over the laundry
detergents that kill dust mites in cold and warm water because I
prefer the smell of my own laundry detergent. I give De-mite Laundry
Additive product 4 stars out of 5.
