Dyson Animal vs. All Floors / Multi Floors Vacuums - The only difference between the All Floors/Multi Floors model and the Animal model in a given series is that the Animal model comes with three additional accessories: the mini turbine tool, the floor tool, and the carpet cleaning kit. These accessories may be purchased separately for any model; however, when you purchase them together with an Animal model, you save quite a bit of money.

All Dyson vacuum cleaners come with a High Efficiency Particulate Air (HEPA) filter that's guaranteed to capture 99.97% of all allergens 0.3 microns or smaller. Most household allergens measure between one and 10 microns in size; therefore, the HEPA filter traps virtually all household allergens.

Dyson Company Information & History

"I just think things should work properly," says British engineer James Dyson. And that's why he set out to build a vacuum cleaner that doesn't lose suction.

With an educational background in art and engineering, Dyson started inventing new products in the early 1970s. One of his first inventions was the Ballbarrow, a wheelbarrow mounted on a spherical ball instead of a wheel for better stability and easier steering.

In the late 1970s, frustrated with the clogged bag in his vacuum cleaner, Dyson began studying cyclonic separation as a possible method of vacuuming. After five years and over 5,000 prototypes, Dyson gave the world its first bag less, cyclonic vacuum cleaner in 1983: the G-Force, which originally sold in Japan.

In 1993, after failing to convince other vacuum cleaner companies to license his technology, Dyson started his own manufacturing company. Dyson vacuum cleaners now represent one of the most popular brands in the world. Working with his research team, James Dyson has developed products that have achieved sales of over $10 billion worldwide. Dyson continues to develop ideas for new products.
