I have a long haired cat that is shedding EVERYWHERE in my home. I have been determined to find a way to cut down on it. I was reading the reviews on the FURminator and purchased the classic~ me and the cat are in HEAVEN. Within 3 swipes a TON of hair was off of him and on the floor. He seems to really like it. I would recommend this to ANYONE~ cat or dog owner. I am ALREADY seeing a difference.. GREAT tool! YAY!!!!

A Miracle Brush

We have two cats - one short and one long hair. The short haired one, Onyx, has always shed badly and has dandruff - when I started to brush him with this brush - which he totally loves - I couldn't believe how much fur I got out and his dandruff is going away. Our other cat, Tigger, is also giving up lots of fur and they both look great. They both demand to be brushed and when one is being brushed the other one is sitting there waiting for his turn. I was hesitant to spend this much money for a brush - but it was well worth the price and I'm telling everyone I know about this great product.

Q1: Do you have replacement blades for the tool when they become dull? How often should the be replaced and what is the cost?

A: We do have them and will be posting them to the site soon. The teeth set really won't ever become "dull". What is more likely to happen is the tiny teeth become bent. Other than this, there is no need for regular replacement. Pricing will be posted online when the replacement teeth are added.

FURminator Pet Deshedding Tool
I first heard about the FURminator from one of our referring allergists
in the spring of 2010. He mentioned it in a presentation
that I attended. After doing some research, I found these devices are very popular with veterinarians and pet groomers,
because of their effectiveness and ease of use. We
contacted the company to request samples that we could
try for ourselves. Here is what we found after some
product testing.
This is a great product, our pets loved the attention, but there are some things you need to know. First, if your animal has a
lot of hair, like our dogs and cats, this is a messy procedure. We suggest doing it either outside, or having a good HEPA vacuum
cleaner nearby so that you can remove the hair that you are going to pull up, and believe us, it is a lot. The next thing to consider
is you are going to be removing a lot of hair and other debris in the hair, and because of this, we highly recommend you wear a quality mask while
using the FURminator. For those who are allergic, we also suggest you ensure you have taken your allergy medication (if you have any)
and have given it ample time to work. Undoubtedly hair and dander particulate
counts are going to be through the roof in or near the pet. So exercise caution, and either do it outside or inside with a HEPA
vacuum cleaner nearby.
The FURminator is a high quality tool that we feel will help allergy sufferers tremendously, but that suggestion
comes with caution. You have to be careful when you are using it because you are exposing yourself to incredibly high amounts
of pet dander and other possible allergens. This tool is built well enough to last a long time, and you can reduce allergen
exposure significantly by removing pet hair and undercoat periodically, rather than having your pet unknowingly leave it all over your house.
