I've been in the military for several years and have always worn a thin piece of cloth over my mouth when I ran outside in cold weather. But for some reason, after my last deployment to Iraq, the cloth suddenly didn't help anymore. My lungs started to feel like they were on fire, my breathing got bad, and on a couple occasions, I came close to passing out. I was terrified that I wasn't going to be able to complete my PT test led alone pass it. As a last resort I ordered BreathXchange Face Shield. I was skeptical at 1st, but when I finally tried it, I was absolutly amazed. No burning, no problems breathing, no PT failure.
If you have ANY trouble doing any cardio in the cold, I recommend giving this mask go.
