I order 3 bottles due to my daughter's new dog allergy. We have a very low dander dog, but I thought this could only help more. I love the natural scent and natural ingredients. I bathe my dog weekly so I like that it's not drying to my pup's skin.

I was literally contemplating surrendering my dog to the Humane Society b/c my girlfriend had such severe allergies to him. I have been using this shampoo for 2 weeks and it has worked miracles. Last weekend she didn't have any allergies at all.

My husband has bad allergies to dogs. But using this shampoo once a week has almost completely stopped them. He no longer experiences hives from petting our boxer. I bathe our dog once a week and allergies are no longer an issue.

Q1: How often can this product be used?
A: As often as needed. Though, in general, I recommend no more than once per week. This rule holds for most shampoos as they can reduce or remove many of the oils that dog's skin produces. Too many baths can sometimes lead to dry, itchy skin or even doggy dandruff.
The anti-allergen properties vary from pet to pet since pets vary in shedding and actual production of dander. For the anti-allergen properties you should be fine for 1-2 weeks. Again though, this can vary. If you wipe your pet with pet wipes, this can extend the efficacy of anti-allergen properties.
The anti-flea and tick properties last at least a month for most pets, so if you wanted, you could go that long between baths might be a little on the smelly side - esp. if they're an indoor pet or use another shampoo in between monthly baths with the Anti-Allergen Pet Shampoo.
Q2: Will this burn their eyes if it comes in contact with them?
A: I consistently use it on my dog, and I know another of my coworker's uses it on his dog as well. Both of us have accidentally gotten the lather in our dogs' eyes at different points, and it has never seemed to cause and different reaction than when they get plain water in their eyes. I'm not suggesting it is irritation free, but seems to be a much gentler type of pet shampoo.

A: No, Ecology Works Pet Shampoo will work in both regards. Not only will it help reduce the dander allergen that causes allergic reactions in people, but it denatures most protein based allergens, including dust mite allergen. So if your pet does have problems with dust mites, this will help.

Ecology Works Anti Allergy Pet Shampoo
As a dog owner, I can say that while I love my dog dearly, dog odors and the pet hair
drive me nuts! While I am often fine around him, if it has been a week or so since he has had a bath, my dog will
cause me to wake up sneezing and itching anywhere his hair touches my skin. For the last few years, I have used the Ecology Works Pet Shampoo with excellent
results.
What I like about Pet Shampoo
There are 4 main reasons why I like and continue to use this anti-allergy pet shampoo.
Reduces Allergens: This pet shampoo effectively removes saliva, dander and other allergens
that commonly become trapped in the dog's coat. Natural Tick and Flea Repellent: Unlike the harsh pesticides or insecticides found in commonly used
flea and tick repellents, Ecology Works pet shampoo uses a natural repellent like Neem Tree Extract (Oil). My dog is 5 years old and has NEVER had a tick
or flea on him. This may not be the case for everyone who uses this dog shampoo, but this is my personal experience. Lather: I've used several types of pet shampoos, and many that are specifically anti-allergy shampoos
often don't clean that well. Ecology Works is thick and creates a nice foamy lather. Cleans: It cleans very well, and leaves my dog smelling good for a few days before his eventual dog
stink starts to creep back in. Safe: It's safe for pets of all ages. From full grown adults cats and dogs to kittens and puppies,
Ecology Works Pet Shampoo is gentle for pets, both young and old.
What I do not like about Pet Shampoo
I really only have two complaints about the Ecology Works Anti Allergen Pet Shampoo, and both are minor. The cost is a bit higher
than more common pet shampoos. I reason this is largely insignificant since I save over $120 a year in not purchasing traditional flea and tick
repellent medication. My only other concern with Pet Shampoo is the amount. Personally, I'd like to see larger bottles.
Overall, I can find few flaws with the Ecology Works Pet Shampoo, and my experience with this products has been an overwhelming positive one. For me, it
cleans well, removes allergens and smells a lot better than traditional flea and tick shampoos. With this, I also avoid constantly exposing my dog to
pesticides and insecticides. For those allergic to or have family members who are allergic to pet dander and even those who simply want to try a healthier
way to bathe their pet, I highly recommend trying this pet shampoo.
