As a faithful user of Vellux blankets for many years, I won't use any other blanket. I have many allergies and this blanket allows me to sleep without congestion or sneezing. I also like the smooth, soft feel. It is warm but light weight.

I already had two of these blankets and have just bought a third. They stand up to repeated frequent washings in hot water with no sign of wear and do not irritate my allergies. The Vellux blanket is soft and warm -- when my granddaughter visits, she wants me to make up her bed without a top sheet so she can cuddle up with it.

Fabric layers are already separating!

The blanket seems to be a good value, but I made the mistake of washing it in HOT water before using it for the first time I wash all bedding in hot water due to my dust mite allergies. The two layers of fabric at the edges are already separating and I haven't even used the blanket yet! This does not bode well for the longevity of the blanket.

Vellux Blankets
Being a dust mite allergy sufferer, I knew I needed a blanket that could
withstand frequent washings. However, I had no idea how plush the Vellux
would be. To my surprise, it is the same blanket that I had always liked
at numerous hotels I had stayed in. The Vellux blanket is now my
favorite blanket of all time. It is so soft and provides the perfect
level of warmth. This blanket is great for the summer time by itself,
and it can add some extra warmth in the winter time. My husband loves it
too because he is so hot natured and he cant stand to sleep with big
down comforters. Now we can compromise with the Vellux blanket.
What I like about the Vellux Blanket:

Light-weight, yet warm
- Durable and washable, stays in same great condition; in fact, it
even gets softer the more you wash it
- Very soft and cozy feel to it
- Fits the bed perfectly
- Inexpensive, compared to some other blankets, and the quality is
unsurpassable
What I did not like about the Vellux Blanket:

Wish it came in more colors
In summary, the Vellux blanket provides maximum warmth and unbelievable softness,
yet is also breathable, providing the right amount of comfort throughout
the year. No wonder hotel owners nationwide furnish their hotel rooms
with this plush blanket. I give the Vellux blanket 5 stars.
I really have nothing bad to say
about the blanket. It provides the comfort that I want and the hot water
wash ability that I need. I would recommend this blanket to dust mite
allergy sufferers like myself or to people who want a light-weight,
warm, comfortable and low maintenance blanket. You really cant go wrong
with the Vellux.
