Many people
experience allergic reactions when they are
exposed to cat dander (skin flakes) and a
protein found in cats saliva.
Although the
fur of a cat is not a major allergen, it
does collect pollen, dust, mold spores and
other irritants, making it an allergic
trigger.
Cat dander is very sticky and can
remain airborne for hours and can be found
in places where cats have never even been
present, often times brought in on the
clothing of the cat owner. |
