AllerAir 5000 MCS Series Air Purifiers
Specially designed for people with extreme multiple chemical sensitivities (MCS) as well as particulate allergies, the AllerAir MCS Series Air Purifiers not only include special features to trap even the smallest traces of chemical vapors, but they're also manufactured with inert materials to ensure that the air purifier itself does not off-gas VOCs or other harmful chemicals.

  • Designed for people with Multiple Chemical Sensitivities (MCS) as well as particulate allergies, AllerAir MCS series air purifiers include special features to handle even the smallest traces of chemical vapors.


  • 18 pounds of granular MAC-B (mass activated carbon bed) to adsorb gases, odors, and chemicals in the AllerAir MCS air purifier and 22 pounds of granular MAC-B (mass activated carbon bed) in the AllerAir D-MCS.


  • Activated Carbon is the only safe, cost-effective way to trap noxious gases and odors. Activated carbon has been treated with oxygen to open up millions of tiny pores between the carbon atoms. The tiny pores provide an enormous surface area to trap certain chemicals, which are attracted to the activated carbon. Most off-the-shelf air purifiers have only a few token ounces of carbon sprayed on mesh. AllerAir air purifiers are packed with pounds of activated carbon for maximum chemical and odor removal.

    A friend of mine actually recommended this to me. It wasn't till recently that I actually went to an allergist to possibly solve my headaches and near constant sinus congestion. After a LONG series of tests we did my problem down to a few specific chemicals. Problem was, many of these are in my home or ones that I come in near daily contact with. A friend of mine always had one, but I never considered an air purifier. Taking my doctor's recommendation and my friend's suggestion, I contacted achoo and explained my situation. The staff here walked me through the many different kinds of air purifiers as well as what they thought would be best for my condition and what I needed to filter. I took at carbon "test" to find the one that best suited me and basically had the air purifier customized for what I needed most. It's been five months, and I am sleeping better, breathing better and feeling the best I have in years. I had to make a lot of different changes in my life, and I'm glad there were good people along the way to help.
