Dear Fellow Allergy Sufferers,
Before I found out there was even such a thing as environmental control, I spent many years desperately trying to deal with my allergies. When I finally gave it a try with allergy relief bedding recommended by my allergist, I was astounded at how much difference this small change made in my life. My allergy symptoms decreased and my overall quality of life improved dramatically. One part of our newsletters that I am very proud of is our series of interviews with allergists. This month we interviewed Dr. Jeffrey Lehr from Monterey, California. Dr. Lehr thinks of himself as a coach with a game plan for his patients. He urges allergy sufferers to view their own allergists as coaches. It's a simple statement, but great advice. Listen to your allergist and do what he or she recommends. I'm sure glad I finally did! In addition to increasing awareness of environmental control, we are committed to educating allergy sufferers about other means of coping with allergies. In the past few months, we've explored acupuncture, probiotics, and NAET as ways to help alleviate allergy symptoms. In this issue, we take a look at omega 3 and eczema.
