Ebac CS60 Dehumidifier Customer Q & A

Q1: Which model would work for 10000 sq ft warehouse. I would like to keep the humidity down on humid days

A: You're likely looking at a couple dehumidifiers. For an area of that size, and I'm very conservatively estimating 8' ceilings, though in reality they are likely much higher, you're looking at something closer to 80-100k cubic feet of airspace you're looking to dry. At this size, there are really only a couple models that would work. A pair of the Ebac CD425 would likely cover the volume of air you're describing. Another option might be three of the LGR 3500i Dri-Eaz dehumidifiers. Those might get you to where you want to be. It's a bit tricky since I'm unsure of what the moisture problem is and what the cause is. The model combinations I mentioned above are mainly running under the assumption that it's just humid, warm weather. If there's another source of moisture or the ceilings are taller than 8-10' you may need look at more models or focusing on a specific section of your warehouse. Hope that helps!

Q2: Which model would be best for 17000 sq ft crawl space? Humidity in crawl space is causing hardwood floors to warp.

A: At that size, you're going to need a couple dehumidifiers. You could opt for two of any number, with an estimated height of 3ft, you're trying to dry over 50K cubic feet of air space. I would locate two in a way so that each would cover about half of the most affected area. If you go with one, locate it in the middle of where you're having the flooring issue, but one may very likely have problems keeping up with moisture removal in such a large space. Even two is going to be stretching it depending on the source of the moisture and circulation in the space. The Santa Fe Max Dry or Impact XT are good options. The Ebac CD60 would also be a decent choice, as would the CD100. For that space, you're going to need a large unit with a high CFM of over 300 to get better circulation in such a large space. Hope that helps.

Q3: I HAVE THREE ROOMS THAT ARE ADJACENT TO EACH OTHER, THE DIMENSIONS ARE 23X58X9, 32X45X9 AND 26X50X9, WE ARE CURRENTLY USING AIR CONDITIONERS TO KEEP THE ROOMS COOL AND KEEP DOWN THE MOISTURE IN THE SUMMERTIME, IS THIS PRODUCT GOING TO BE SUFFICIENT FOR THESE THREE ROOMS? ALSO WHAT ABOUT DRAINAGE?

A: This will depend on how severe the humidity problem is and how well air is circulating between the three rooms. The CS60 will well cover any one or possible two of these rooms, but three is likely too much of a stretch without excellent circulation between the three. Depending on your layout, the Ebac CS60 dehumidifier might not be your best option since it lacks a pump. So for drainage, you need to have it close to a floor drain or use separate condensate pump. The Ebac AD850E dehumidifier would provide you with the internal condensate pump and give you better results for the total volume of space you are dehumidifying. The Ebac CD60 is also an option. Similar in capacity and performance to the CS60, but the it also has the internal condensate pump.
