This activated carbon prefilter comes standard with each Honeywell air purifier we offer. This prefilter traps some odor and smoke while also capturing large particles such as lint and pet hair. To increase the efficiency of the HEPA filter, replace the prefilter every 3 months or as needed. Each package comes with one large prefilter that is perforated. Tear or cut to fit your specific Honeywell air purifier. Fits 50250, 50200, 50150, 18155, 17500, 17000 and other round Honeywell air cleaners. The new model number for this item is HRF-AP1, but this is the same filter as the older 38002 prefilter.
