It works great. A little bit loud but gets the job done. It's nice for the summer because it does blow out cold air. I leave it far from ne during the winter because I can't stand having the cold air blow at me. but other than that, the product works great!

Superb Air Purifier!

I bought the 17005 a week ago and I couldn't be happier! I've been using smaller "hepa type" purifiers as main units, but the Honeywell 17005 blows them away as a main unit. Plus I will save $100 + plus yearly on filter cost, as the 17005 has a permanent true filter.

Ever since I got the Honeywell air purifier (17005), i no longer wake up in the morning with a runny nose. Love it....It's a bit loud but you'll quickly adapt to it.

Honeywell 17005 Air Purifier
I purchased a Honeywell 17005 QuietCare to help with my daughter. She was starting college, and she
needed an air purifier that would help with her allergy symptoms. I must say that this machine performs
very well for the price and was very easy to carry into her dorm room. Whenever she comes home or goes
on a trip, she takes it with her and keeps it running. I believe it has helped her get through the first
year at college without so many days of having a runny nose and itchy eyes.
What I like about the Honeywell 17005
- With true HEPA filtration it is very effective against allergy symptoms for such an inexpensive machine.
- It's lightweight and easily portable with the built-in handle for carrying.
- It has a remote, a timer function, and a filter life monitor.
What I do not like about the Honeywell 17005
- It doesn't remove as many contaminants as some of the more expensive units.
- It contains a carbon pre-filter rather than a full carbon canister, so while it does offer some filtration of odors and smoke,
it is not as effective as larger, more expensive air purifiers.
Overall, I am very pleased with the Honeywell. It certainly has worked well for my daughter. It alleviated
her allergy symptoms, making her more productive with her schoolwork. However, if your allergy symptoms
are severe (like my husband's), you may want to look into a more substantial machine. But for people with
mild environmental allergies, this is a great choice.

9/11/12 We keep our IQAir HealthPro in our bedroom, but it keeps most the home feeling like clean air 700sq ft place. I'd recommend to anyone! More Testimonials
