We make the only natural memory foam in the world, it is made using Hevea milk (milky white rubber tree sap). It feels like the memory foam we all know and love, but it's made without all the gunk. The Hevea milk is mixed with essential oils like grapefruit seed, cone flower essence, and jasmine essence and water. All of these help to achieve proper consistency in our natural memory foam while providing soothing and rejuvenating properties to the body and spirit. The result  is a natural, next generation, latex-based foam that sleeps cool and feels amazing.  

Natural latex memory foam mattresses are naturally deterrent to dust mites, not having any of the components in them that dust mites are naturally attracted to. Dust mites thrive in natural fibers and these fibrous materials are nesting grounds for dust mites. BedCare™ Mattresses powered by Essentia have been designed and tested to not attract or emit allergens so you can be sure you are sleeping on a safe surface. Every  BedCare™ Mattress  is covered in 100% unbleached organic cotton which is grown without chemicals, synthetic fertilizers or pesticides. Animal Free- our mattresses are Vegan, containing no animal products. Allergic to latex? Fear not!  The BedCare™ Mattresses powered by Essentia do not contain the proteins that a person allergic to latex would normally react to. Essentia products were tested by Dr. Robert G. Hamilton of the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and his studies show that Essentia patented natural latex memory foam mattresses pose no risk to a latex allergic person in terms of potential exposure to latex allergens. This is because Essentia’s patented molded latex drastically reduces the level of proteins and allergens that a person can react to. Dr. Hamilton explains that a person who is allergic to latex is generally allergic to dipped rubber which is a manufacturing process used to make products such as rubber gloves or latex balloons. Therefore, sleeping on a Essentia made mattress poses no risk to a non-sensitized individual to become sensitized to latex proteins.

Is your Natural Memory Foam heat sensitive?  Yes and No. It is close to 80% less heat sensitive than regular memory foam. Unlike regular memory foam which takes minutes to adjust, our natural memory foam only takes seconds. So no matter what your desired room temperature may be, our memory foam will have a consistent feel and adjust to your body and movements quickly, and no quicksand-like feel.

Are box springs or foundations required for your natural memory foam allergy mattresses?  The ideal surface for a BedCare™ Mattresses powered by Essentia is a flat, rigid surface that allows airflow. So a slatted bed base or foundation with a flat, rigid, and ventilated surface like our Zebase foundation is the optimal solution. Slats should be no more than 3 inches apart and must not be flexible. You will want to avoid slatted bed bases with flexible or bowed slats, and box springs (foundations with springs inside) as they interfere with the contouring support and durability our mattresses. A surface like this will void the manufacturer's warranty.

The BedCare™ Performance mattress is 8 inches in height. The SoftGrip layer is a dovetailed cotton to ensure the mattress does not shift on your bedding foundation. Next is the layers of Oeko-Tex certified latex. The mattress gets its support from 5 inches of Dunlop Latex (natural latex), and comfort from a specially blended Comfort Layer Latex. With the 2 inches of natural memory foam allows proper support of the hips and shoulders, redistribution of body weight, and promoting of unobstructed blood circulation. The patented molding process fuses the layers together. The Kevlar non-toxic unbleached cotton cover that prevents friction and wear on the mattress, and finally, the removable Organic Cotton fabric cover that wraps the surface to help protect your investment!
