Ebac Neptune Dehumidifier
The Ebac Neptune is a compact, portable dehumidifier designed to control humidity for a wide range of applications. It is compact enough to be operated by one person, but has the drying capacity to handle several room-size areas at a time. Ideal for commercial, industrial, and residential uses, the Neptune is used for water damage restoration, dehumidification, and on-going humidity control.
What I like about the Neptune
The Neptune has a utilitarian design. This unit is priced and designed as Ebac's introductory unit. It is a very rugged dehumidifier that works at low temperatures and the "hot gas" defrost allows this unit to maintain itself itself even after the coils ice up. The Neptune is economical and fits the budget of any "mom and pop" restoration company. The handle collapses so it does not take up much space on an equipment truck. This unit also comes with an extra long power cord and is one of the lighter models in the Ebac dehumidifier line.
What I do not like about the Neptune
The Neptune does not have some of the key features that I like in the Ebac product line. There is only an On/Off control and no humidistat. There is no condensate pump, and there are no wheels for to easily move between rooms during a painting or dry wall project. It does have rubber feet to prevent some vibration.
