Filtrete MPR 1550 Allergen, Bacteria & Virus Air Filter – 4"

The 3M Filtrete MPR 1550 Allergen, Bacteria & Virus Air Filter – 4" can be used in whole house air cleaners, furnaces, or central heating and cooling systems that use a 4" thick filter. In addition, it can be used in select Honeywell Air Cleaners (models listed below).

How It Works - Specifically this 1550 Filtrete MPR filter works in any whole house system that requires a 4" thick filter. Once installed, it works in combination with your homes furnace or air system to capture and remove airborne particles that pass through it. This will not only help provide fresher and cleaner air for your home but can also help reduce asthma and allergy triggers as well! Lastly, this Filtrete Filter carries 3M's performance rating (MPR) of 1550 (comparable to a MERV 12 filter rating).

How It's Made - 3M Filtrete Filters are made from high-performance electrostatically charged pleated fiber material. These tiny fibers act as magnet attracting 97% of airborne particles directly into the filter and capturing them there. Particles captured include mold spores, pollen, dust, dust mite allergen, pet dander, bacteria, and viruses. A durable cardboard frame means this filter needs no assembly which makes it easier to install than other collapsible filters.

When used under normal conditions, replacement is only required every 12-months. With consistent air filtration, these filters are an efficient and cost-effective way to keep your home cleaner.
