Of course, nothing can beat regularly bathing your pet, but the Austin's special carbon blend filter also reduces those unpleasant pet odors that can linger in the air between baths.
What I like about the Austin Air Pet Machine
The Austin Air Pet Machine is a high performance air purifier with great features. The carbon blend HEPA filter is supported by a built-in pre-filter. This pre-filter and a separate large particle pre-filter work to extend the life of the HEPA filter. The large particle pre-filter also can be vacuumed from the outside and needs to be replaced only once per year. This helps to keep down maintenance costs on an air purifier that you are likely to run for long stretches of time.
The HEPA filter is composed of 60 sq. ft. of hospital grade filter media. Wrapped around this is a layer of activated carbon granules mixed with zeolite. The carbon blend itself is one that will trap odors and pollutants that your pet may have or bring into your home. It also works well with litter boxes and pet bedding odors.
The unit is sturdy and powerful. The Pet Machine is capable of producing 6 air changes per hour in a 12 by 12 room without breaking a sweat. It is constructed of 22 gauge steel, and this lack of large amount of plastic nearly eliminates the chances of the air purifier itself off gassing.
