Ebac CS60 Dehumidifier
The Ebac CS60 is designed to provide humidity control, in a wide range of applications. It can be permanently installed in a crawlspace or transported between different job sites. With this durable and dependable unit, you do not have to worry about complicated maintenance or expensive down time. This CS60 usually is used in basements, crawlspaces, storage areas, laboratories, computer rooms, and other low traffic areas.
What I like about the Ebac CS60
This unit is very powerful and very efficient. It is ideal for a large crawlspace or damp basement. Like most Ebac units, it has an internal humidistat that automatically switches on and off to save energy and to maintain the desired humidity level.
To me the CS60 is in the same class with the CD30. The biggest benefit to the CS60 over the CD30 is the more powerful airflow and fan. The CS60 really has twice the power to pull air into the machine and dry that air. I also like that this dehumidifier has rubber mounts to keep it up off the ground and to prevent vibration noise.
What I do not like about the Ebac CS60
The Ebac CS60 is not pleasing to the eyes. This is a stripped down metal box that has to be used in a low traffic area. Luckily, the CS60 is most commonly used in places where the aesthetic is not as important as the results the unit delivery. The unit comes with 10 feet of PVC drain hose and a half inch drain hose connection for a gravity drain, but it does not have its own condensate pump. With crawlspace or basement use you may have to purchase a separate condensate pump or look to utilize either your HVAC's condensate pump or a nearby drain.
