    Description

OSKAR Humidifiers Are Energy Saving ProductsSimplistic yet stylish. That sums up this line of Stadler Form Oskar humidifiers. These evaporative style humidifiers can literally put gallons of soothing moisture back into the air in your home and help relieve the discomfort that dry air can cause. From itchy skin and chapped lips to dry sinus passages and sore throats, winter time symptoms from very low humidity can affect everyone. With an Oskar Stadler humidifier you can fight these symptoms and combat the excessive dryness caused by home heating systems.

Stadler Form Oskar Humidifier Color Options

Oskar humidifiers now come in three sizes. For most bedrooms, the standard Oskar top-fill humidifier provides enough moisture to keep you from waking up with a sore throat and dry sinuses, while the Oskar Big works best in larger living spaces. The Oskar Big evaporative humidifier is the most popular since it holds more water, requires fewer refills, and covers larger areas. Additionally, there is an Oskar Little, which as the name implies, is the smallest of the three. Unlike ultrasonic and boiler style models, these Stadler Form evaporative humidifiers can be easily filled while the unit runs and without having to remove any tank. Available in several colors, the modern design of the Oskar blends with most rooms, and Oskar Big even won a Red Dot Design award! So if dry winter air is causing you problems, relieve them with a top-fill, Oskar, Oskar Little, or Oskar Big evaporative humidifier!

    Stadler Form OSKAR Humidifier Reviews
    Stadler Form Oskar Humidifiers

As one of the most popular humidifiers Stadler Form has created, the Oskar (Economist) is a compact, evaporative model that has helped relieve the symptoms of dry indoor air for many. Taking it a step further is the Oskar Big. With a larger capacity, higher output, the Oskar truly is bigger and better equipped to humidify even larger rooms and spaces in your home. More recently, the Oskar Little humidifier has joined the crowd. A slightly smaller version of the traditional Oskar, the Little is slightly less expensive but still offers the same features of the standard Oskar with only a small drop off in capacity. Here's how they stacked up compared to other models.

Most Stadler Form humidifiers offer the ability to use "essential oils" or add "fragrance". Though the capability is there, we generally recommend against this. In general, for people dealing with asthma, allergies, MCS or eczema, we say this simply because the cleaner the indoor air, the better. Nonetheless, all Oskar models have this feature if you choose to use it.

What I like about the Stadler Form Oskar Humidifier

One of the very best features about evaporative humidifiers like the Oskars is how easy it is to refill them. There is a small door that you simply flip open and with a pitcher of water, you can refill both of these humidifiers while they continue to run. No tanks to remove or disassembly required. With the Oskar Big, there is also a handy water level window that allows you to see the water level as you fill it. Simply fill it up, and you're all set!

The moisture output for both models is great for relieving symptoms associated with dry indoor air. From chapped lips and dry skin to a sore throat and dried out nasal passages, the Oskar and Oskar Little humidifiers provide moisturizing relief by putting nearly two gallons of water back into the air in your home a day. The Oskar Big surpasses this with an output of nearly three and a half gallons.

All Oskar humidifiers have a variety of additional features that are both useful and easy to use. First, a built-in hygrostat allows you to set the humidity level you desire. Setting 1 (one blue light) for 40% relative humidity and for each additional light/setting the humidity goes up by 5%. The last setting, five lights, means it will run continuously for extremely dry conditions, and when all the lights are blinking, you know you've reached your humidity set point. All models also come with an Ionic Silver Cube. This accessory emits silver ions to keep the water hygienic and free of microbes that grow in standing water. The LED lights can be dimmed or shut off for a night/sleep mode, and the Oskar will automatically shut off when it is empty. The Oskar Big has four fan settings, while the other two have two.

The last two things I like about the Oskar are how much power it uses and how quiet it is. All of the Stadler Form Oskar models are very energy efficient, and even on their highest settings, they use just a fraction of the electricity used by a standard light bulb. And in terms of noise, each Oskar is whisper quiet.

What I do not like about the Stadler Form Oskar Humidifier

There are really one two drawbacks I have with this model. The first is a bit trivial - Oskar Big is only available in two colors, though the smaller Oskars do offer a couple more color options. My other drawback is a bit more substantial - replacement parts. The Ionic Silver Cube is standard fare when it comes to humidifiers, common regardless of brand and priced about the same. Plus, you only replace it once a year, so the expense is minimal. The evaporative filters/wicks are another story. If you use your Oskar Big for say four months, you will need eight filter/wicks (standard Oskar takes two while the Oskar Little takes only one). Luckily, there are two options when it comes to the filter/wicks, and the 4 Pack is less expensive than the 2 Pack.

In all, I really like each of the Oskar humidifiers. You can go with the regular Oskar or Oskar Little for bedrooms and smaller rooms, while for large rooms and open floor plans, the Oskar Big is certainly up to the task. The convenience of refilling the model is a big positive when dealing with very dry environments that require a lot of moisture to be put back in the air. The drawbacks of any Oskar are small, and the features are easy to use and practical. If you're looking for a efficient, super-easy way to relieve dry conditions in your home, you can't go wrong with any of the Stadler Form Oskar humidifiers.
