Dri-Eaz Evolution LGR Dehumidifier
The Evolution LGR packs state-of-the-art low grain refrigerant technology into a compact design. Built for
today’s trained restoration professional, the Evolution also encompasses the most user-friendly features. It is so versatile and easy
to handle that you will want to use it on every job site.
What I like about the Evolution LGR Dehumidifier
This unit is a solid step forward for Dri-Eaz.
The naming is perfect, because it really is an evolution over the DrizAir 1200 which operates on standard refrigerant. The Evolution
uses a low grade refrigerant that increases its operating range. The Evolution will keep pulling moisture from
the air so that deep drying will occur.
One of the best features of this particular model is its quick release hose storage. The Evolution comes with
40 feet of drain hose. This means that you can remove the water to a drain or collection area that is far from
your project area. The internal pump purges every 6 minutes and it is powerful enough to move the water over a long
distance.
One of our big concerns as an allergy company is indoor air quality. We place a lot of emphasis on air filtration.
The Evolution LGR has HAF (High Air Flow) filters that are twice as efficient as washable foam filters used in
many dehumidifiers.
What I do not like about the Evolution LGR Dehumidifier
It is hard for me to find anything that I do not like about
the Evolution LGR. It has to be one of Dri-Eaz's best products, because it will work for a restoration professional
and for the homeowner. It is a good drying machine and maintains a fairly small footprint. Once again, the only problem
I see with this unit is that it lacks a humidistat and an auto re-start function. You have to manually turn the machine on and off.
