Ebac BD80 & BD80-XE Dehumidifiers
The Ebac BD80 is a great model for
both commercial and residential work. Following a flood or severe
storm, this dehumidifier is sturdily built to operate under extreme conditions and remove
large amounts of moisture. It is small enough to be operated by
one person, but still powerful enough to handle several open areas at
the same time. This unit also has a very sturdy roll
bar type construction. You can drop this machine and
the compressor is protected by a metal frame.
I
definitely like the additional options that Ebac added when
they made the BD80-XE. With features like an internal
pump, automatic pump-out (for storage, remove clogs or for repair), low
temperature operation, and wheels for mobility, the Ebac BD80-XE dehumidifier
is a great fit for many professional applications. The
integrated condensate pump allows for simple, continuous
operation without the hassle of emptying a drain bucket.
What I like about the BD80 & BD80-XE Dehumidifiers
This machine is engineered to be the best in fighting moisture damage caused
by storms, hurricanes, and associated flooding. The
BD80-XE has the additional feature of an internal condensate pump capable of 20' of
vertical lift. The drain hose easily attaches and allows for
immediate operation and removal of water from nearly any
environment. It will pump water up and out of your basement
if you do not have anywhere to readily drain the water. This
improved "XE" version comes with a quick release hose
coupling and 25' of PVC drain hose. You also have a pump purge switch to help remove the water and empty the pump of any remaining
water prior to storing the unit.
What I do not like about the BD80 & BD80-XE Dehumidifiers
The BD80 is a solid machine, but the additional features of the BD80-XE make it a superior machine. This is
another Ebac unit that makes it difficult to find anything bad to say about it.
This machine stands alone and fights water damage. Once again, because this is a water restoration model, so
there is no humidistat control. During commercial use, you just turn the machine on and let it dry out the air in the room. |
