Then place the bottom tabs of the front grille into the slots of the base in the air purifier and push the top of the grille forward until the grille locks into place.

Can the carbon pre-filters be washed and reused?

No, neither the carbon pre-filter nor the HEPA filter can be washed or reused. Once the filter light indicators turn red, the indicated filter must be replaced.
