Description
The Filter-Monster Carbon Replacement Filter Compatible with IQAir™ V5-Cell™ Gas and Odor Filter is comparable to the IQAir™ V5-Cell™ Carbon Filter and compatible with the IQAir™ HealthPro™ & HealthPro Plus™ Purifiers. It can also be purchased at any time to upgrade your standard IQAir™ HealthPro™ Air Purifier to an IQAir™ HealthPro Plus™ Air Purifier. The Carbon Replacement Filter is not compatible with HealthPro™ Compact. Replace every 2-Years or as needed.
Each Carbon Replacement Filter is made from activated carbon derived from bituminous coal and blended with impregnated alumina (potassium permanganate). This specific blend of substances efficiently absorbs and oxidizes a wide range VOCs, odors, smoke, formaldehyde, paint fumes, furniture chemicals, carpet chemicals, and other harmful gas and vapors. This expertly engineered blend effectively changes the Carbon Replacement Filter from a smoke and odor filter into a VOC filter well suited for the chemically sensitive.
Absorption happens when pollutants are physically bound to carbon. Chemisorption occurs when pollutants chemically react with the filter material and leave only water and oxygen behind. Both of these situations are crucial for efficient gas filtration. The Carbon Replacement Filter utilizes both methods to remove and absorb pollutants resulting in top performance.
